I bet you’ve seen this #InfluencerApproved beauty trend show up at least once on your Instagram feed. While most of you might have not taken notice, we did. Brows have really had their moment in the beauty industry for the past few years and we’ve seen all kinds of bizarre brow trends emerge (and thankfully die – yes, I’m looking at you fishtail brows). Gone are the days when tweezing your brows to oblivion was the ultimate way to groom yourself (thanks 90’s, BYE!). Thanks to famous faces like Cara Delevingne and Zendaya, bold brows are everywhere, loud and clear.
Us Indians are blessed with dense brows, which makes them easier to shape. And soap brows are one such trend that we’ve taken notice of and decided to try. This brow trend has even managed to make its way to the runways. But what are soap brows, you’re probably wondering?
Using a bar of soap on your brows? Umm, yeah, pretty much!
How To: Soap Brows
This is actually a pretty neat brow grooming trick, especially for those of us who have thick brows that require no filling and shaping. This brow grooming method will save you a lot of time and money and will replace all those eyebrow related makeup and tools!
All you’ll need is:
– A spoolie brush
– A bar of soap
This will only take a minute of your time and it’s gonna give you the best brows ever!
How does this work?
- Just wet your bar of soap
- Rub your spoolie brush on it
- Apply the waxy mixture onto your brows
- Keep brushing them in place until you’re happy with how they look
You can add some brow pomade to darken your eyebrows BEFORE you do this. That’s it! Hello, brow-tiful!
This may sound messy at first but trust me, I’ve ditched my favourite brow gel after trying it just once! The waxy consistency of the soap allows your brows to stay in shape throughout the day and it really makes your brows look powerful.
This technique went viral on social media for all the right reasons, and I for one, cannot stop raving about how easy and effortless this is. Even on the days, I’m rocking my non-threaded brows, all it takes is one stroke and they look so sharp and precise.
