10 Ways To Use Aloe Vera Gel On The Face At Night

Aloe Vera is like that one front-bencher that has an answer for everything. Just not annoying at all. Instead, it cools me down. This skin-loving gel is derived from a plant, and the power it holds is insane.

The benefits of aloe vera are plenty. Apart from cooling the skin, it even heals wounds and acne to an extent. It can lighten marks and blemishes and even smooth over age-related signs well.

The skin repairs and restores itself at night and that’s why using aloe vera gel cream at night is important. Here’s how to use it in more ways than one.

1. Apply It Directly On The Face

Aloe vera is powerful even when applied on its own. Gently massage it into your skin in circular motions. Aloe reduces dryness and flakiness and hydrates the skin.

2. Create An Exfoliator With Apple Cider Vinegar

Both aloe vera and Apple Cider Vinegar too work together to exfoliate the surface of the skin gently.

Add 2 tablespoons of the gel to a bowl. Add about ½ teaspoon of ACV and 1 tablespoon of water to the same bowl. Mix the ingredients together. Apply it all over the face after cleansing. Rinse it off only after it has dried, about 20 minutes later. Repeat once or twice a week.

3. Create A Hydrating Mask

Those with dry skin, take note of this DIY since aloe vera is extremely hydrating. Just mix 1 tablespoon of aloe with 1 tablespoon of honey. Throw in half a cucumber and blend it. Mix the honey-aloe paste with the cucumber and apply it all over your face. Rinse it off in about 10-15 minutes. That’s how to apply aloe vera gel on face at night

4. Whip Up A Toner

For a DIY toner, mix 2 parts of water with 1 part of aloe gel. Store the liquid in the fridge and spritz it all over the face right after cleansing. You can even dip a piece of cotton in the solution and go over the face with it gently. This formula will soothe and cool your skin.

5. Create A Sunburn Soother

If your skin is healing from a sunburn, just apply chilled/refrigerated gel all over the spots before sleeping.

6. Create A Moisturising Mask

When my skin is extremely dry, especially during winter, I mix Aloe Vera with coconut oil. Both ingredients are extremely hydrating. I mix 2 teaspoons of the gel with 1 spoon of oil and apply it over my face and rinse it off within 20 minutes.

7. A DIY Spot On Acne Treatment

Aloe vera and neem have antibacterial properties. If you struggle with breakouts, this recipe is what you need. Make a paste of some (neem) leaves in rose water. Add 2 spoons of aloe to it and mix it together. Apply it to your skin for 15 minutes before rinsing it off. I use this treatment every time I feel a bump appearing.

8. Create An Anti-Ageing Remedy

Aloe vera can smooth over lines and wrinkles. But mixing aloe with carrots makes that ability more potent. Carrots contain a substance called beta-carotene, a form of Vitamin A that promotes the appearance of healthy, younger-looking skin.

Just mix one teaspoon of aloe with 1 tablespoon of a finely grated carrot. Throw in an egg white and whip it all into a frothy paste. Apply it all over the skin and allow it to dry for 20 minutes before rinsing it off.

9. Create An Oil-Banishing Face Pack

Mix some aloe with finely-crushed cucumber to create a gel-like formula. Apply it to the face; focusing more on areas that are oilier than usual. This pack will restore the skin’s moisture balance in no time and is my go-to during summers. Keep it on for 15 minutes before washing it off.

10. Make An Eye Mask

Aloe can counter under-eye darkness and puffiness too. Mix a capsule of Vitamin E and a spoon of aloe gel and apply it under the eyes before going to bed. You can keep it on overnight. Now you know how to use aloe vera on face overnight.

I know I’m adding a step to my P.M. routine tonight onwards!
