Want To Get Silky, Smooth Hair Without A Flat Iron? Straightening Creams Are The Answer!

Bored with your curls? If so, then maybe it’s time to befriend a straightening cream. This magical product has the power to beat the frizz, tame flyaways, and straighten the hair without damaging it. If you have a straightening cream product at home and would like to learn how to use it, then you’ve come to the right place!

Here’s A Step By Step Guide On How To Use A Hair Straightening Cream

Most straightening creams contain powerful ingredients such as keratin and silicone. These two ingredients help to straighten and smoothen the locks without ruining their natural texture. However, using too much of the straightening cream product will weigh the hair down. So, always take the less is more approach. Let’s start the tutorial, shall we?

Step 1: Wash Your Hair

Never, ever apply the product to unwashed dirty hair as the product won’t perform to the fullest. First, wash your hair with a shampoo to get rid of debris, dirt, oil, product residue and bacteria. Once your hair and scalp are squeaky clean, you’re ready to move on to the next step.

Step 2: Towel-Dry Your Hair

Once you’ve applied shampoo and conditioner to your hair, wrap it up in a microfiber towel. This helps to soak away excess water without drying the hair out and making it frizzy. Using your fingers or a detangler brush, gently brush through your hair to get rid of any tangles and knots in the hair.

Step 3: Divide Your Hair Into Tiny Sections

Never apply a giant chunk of hair product on your hair directly. Section the strands off and secure them with hair ties or clips. After dividing your hair into tiny sections, you’re ready to move on the main step!

Step 4: Apply The Hair Straightening Cream Product

Once your hair is evenly sectioned, take a tiny amount of hair straightening cream product in your palms and apply it from root to tip. To prevent the scalp from experiencing any allergic reactions, make sure that it does not come in contact with it. Once you’ve evenly distributed the product on your locks, leave it on for 20-30 minutes.

Step 5: Wash It All Off

When washing the straightening cream off your hair, only use plain lukewarm water. Avoid using a conditioner or shampoo during this stage. To soak away all the excess water, wrap your hair up once again with a microfiber towel.

Step 6: Choose Your Hair Styling Tool

Once your hair is damp, use a hairdryer and a round brush to straighten the hair. For poker-straight hair, use a flat iron to straighten the locks after blowdrying them.

Congratulations, you now know how to use a straightening cream like a pro! We can’t wait for you to give this product and technique a shot! All the best.
