You Will Need:
· A hairbrush
· Hair ties

Step 1: Split Your Hair Into Two Sections
Create a side part, brush out any tangles and take your mane over your shoulder onto one side. You may find it easier to gather your locks into a loose side ponytail at the nape with a hair tie which you can cut off at the end. Split all your hair in the ponytail into two equal sections (yup a fishtail only requires two unlike the three sections in a classic plait).
Step 2: Get Braiding
Using your index finger and your thumb, take a small piece of hair from the outer edge of one of the two sections, cross it over to the opposite section and blend it into that section. Refasten your grip on both sides to tighten the plait and repeat by taking a small section from the edge of the other side and bringing it across to the opposite section.

Step 3: Keep Weaving
Continue following the process of overlapping small pieces of hair from either side all the way down your length. Make sure to maintain evenness by taking small sections of the same size (about half an inch wide).
Step 4: Finishing Touches
After weaving your hair till your ends, fasten the style in place with a thin hair tie. Snip off the elastic on the top and let a few tendrils loose in the front. Tease the braid by gently tugging on it to loosen the fishtail for that effortless, slept-in look.
