Let’s just say we all are dealing with life, one momo at a time. Momos have now become a staple snack in India because no matter where you go, you will always get yummy momos to fill your tummy with. Here is a simple and easy recipe to make veg momos at home!
To make veg paneer momos, all you need is:
For the dough:
1 cup all purpose flour
3/4th cup warm water
1 tbsp oil
A pinch of salt
Extra flour for dusting
Damp cloth for the dough to rest
For the filling:
1 tsp ginger and garlic paste
1 green chillies, finely chopped
1 cup cabbage, finely chopped
1/2 cup carrot, finely chopped
1/2 cup, grated paneer
1/4th cup onion, finely chopped
Finely chopped coriander
1 tbsp soy sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Chutney:
4 tsp oil
3-4 red tomatoes
1/2 onion
4 cloves of garlic
1 inch ginger
7-8 dried red chilli
Salt to taste
1 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp vinegar

OR
You could also use a ready to eat schezwan sauce from the market
Instructions:
- Knead the dough well with generous amount of water
- Let the dough rest for 20 mins
For the filling:
- Heat pan with oil
- Add ginger garlic paste
- Shallow fry onions until golden brown
- Add green chilli, carrots and grated paneer
- Stir it well and add cabbage in the end
- Add soy sauce and salt and pepper
To make the momos:
- Take a tiny piece of dough and roll in a flat circle
- Add the mixture and seal it
- Brush the steamer plate with oil and steam them for 15 mins until soft
For the chutney:
- Mix all the ingredients and mix well until it becomes a thick paste
- The chutney is ready to serve
