A change in climate, an unbalanced diet, using the wrong products, dryness and of course, not taking proper care of your locks can cause your strands to break! Before you damage your mane further or splurge on another expensive hair product, you might as well give some of these good old home remedies a shot. Since these ingredients are natural, they will do their best to give your hair the nourishment and care it deserves. Here are 10 home remedies for hair breakage. Go on and strengthen those dreamy locks!

1. You Should Totally Try Onion Juice!

Onions are a rich source of sulphur, hence they do an amazing job at promoting hair growth. Onion juice does wonders for hairs & they also contain antibacterial properties which help fight infections and keep your scalp healthy.

Step 1: Extract the juice of one raw onion by using a blender.

Step 2: Dip a thick brush into the container.

Step 3: Apply the juice to your strands.

Step 4: Leave it on for a good 30 minutes

Step 5: Wash it off with cold water after.

Once a month is good enough.

2. Eggs & Almond Oil ALL The Way

Whether you use only the yolks or the whites, eggs are packed with protein. In fact, eggs contain enzymes that nourish damaged hair and cleanse the scalp naturally, while also being rich in protein to strengthen the strands. Almond oil on the other hand, nourishes strands and makes your locks go from drab to fab.

Step 1: Crack 2 eggs and pour its yolk and whites into a bowl.

Step 2: Drizzle a few almond oil drops over it.

Step 3: Mix well using a spoon until it becomes frothy.

Step 4: Apply to your hair and do not touch it for 15 minutes

Step 5: Head to the shower after.

Do this twice a week for positive results.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar Is The Best

Believe it or not but apple cider vinegar helps balance the oil production in your scalp. It cleanses hair from product buildup and dirt. Not to forget that it promotes hair growth and recuses frizz as well.

Step 1: In a jar, pour 2 cups of apple cider vinegar.

Step 2: Pour 2 cups of water to dilute it.

Step 3: After shampooing and conditioning your hair, pour the vinegar all over.

Step 4: Leave it on for 45 minutes.

Step 5: Use tap water to rinse your hair.

Four times a month is the way to go!

4. Don’t Mess With Garlic Cloves

Garlic cloves may be tiny in size, but they do an amazing job at preventing hair from breaking. In fact, they improve the texture of your hair and make it long and glossy.

Step 1:  Peel some garlic cloves and toss them into a blender.

Step 2: Once you’re left with a fine pungent paste, add a tablespoon of olive oil.

Step 3: Mix well using your index finger.

Step 4: Apply it on your hair and massage your scalp

Step 5: Wrap a damp towel around your hair and wash it off after 20 minutes.

Once every week will get you healthy, bouncy locks.

5. Aloe Gel Is Such A Boss

This transparent gel not only works like magic for your skin, but also does the same for your hair as well! Popularly known for its antioxidant and antimicrobial properties, you’ll be happy to know that your hair and scalp stay nourished and healthy all day long.

Step 1: Scoop some aloe gel from the plant.

Step 2: After washing your hair with shampoo and conditioner, apply it to your hair.

Step 3: Allow the gel to soak into your strands and your scalp.

Step 4: Rinse your hair after an hour with lukewarm water.

Twice a month should fetch you good results.

6. Banana Pulp Is The Doctor You Never Had

Step 1: Take the pulp of one banana and mash it up.

Step 2: Before applying it, wash your hair first.

Step 3: Apply the pulp on damp hair and leave it on for 25 minutes.

Step 4: Put on a shower cap and do not touch your hair..

Step 5: Wash your hair with cold water after.

You’ll have amazing hair if you do this every alternate day for a week.

7. Mayonnaise For The Win

If you ever run out of conditioner, make sure you have a bottle of mayonnaise around. Since it contains the goodness of eggs, your hair is bound to get nourished, feel stronger and look shinier.

Step 1: Scoop some mayonnaise with your fingertips.

Step 2: Apply it to your strands and massage the mix into your scalp.

Step 3: Wrap your hair in a damp towel and wait for 30 minutes.

Step 4: Unwrap and wash your hair using a shampoo.

Step 5: Don’t forget to apply conditioner and pat dry using a towel after.

Step 1: Take two teabags of green tea and immerse them in hot water.

Step 1: In a container, add 2 tablespoons of unflavoured yoghurt.

Step 2: Apply it to your distressed strands using your fingertips.

Step 3: Leave the yoghurt to soak into your roots and hair.

Step 4: Wash your hair after an hour.

Step 5: Use a towel to pat dry.

Thrice a month will give you the hair you desire.
