I’m Happy For The Newlyweds: Himansh Kohli On Trolls DMing Him About Neha Kakkar’s Wedding
Neha Kakkar is currently honeymooning with her hubby Rohanpreet Singh in Dubai, and while her fans are happy for her, they are also trolling her ex-boyfriend, Himansh Kohli. Yes, he isn’t new to trolling, but this time, Himansh seems to have lost his cool. And rightly so! Recently, a fake video of him allegedly apologising to Neha went viral. He promptly debunked the video, calling it, “highly manipulated.” And now, he has opened up about what he has gone through ever since Neha and him broke up.

Neha and Himansh called it quits in 2018 and the Dilbar singer even broke down on the sets of Indian Idol. Ever since, Himansh has been subjected to merciless trolling that even Neha objected to. Saying that she regrets making her personal life public, the singer had earlier mentioned, “Himansh did nothing to deserve all that. Still, he received so much hatred and negative comments on social media.” But clearly, nothing has changed for Himansh. Even after two years since their breakup, he is still getting trolled and being messaged about Neha’s wedding. And now, here’s what he had to say:
Talking to a media portal, Himansh said, “I have been ignoring such memes, DMs, comments, mentions, posts, etc. for two years now. I have been subjected to pathetic statements on social media which have literally spoilt my mood at that moment. Think about it, you are talking about your happy day, your special moment, your new project, or simply wishing someone happy birthday, and all the comments below are about your past relationship which didn’t work out. I still get those and I thought it’s time to put it to end once and for all.”

Himansh, who made his debut with Yaariyan, further requested everyone to stop messaging him as he knows ki Nehu ki shaadi ho gayi. Mentioning that he is really happy for the newlyweds, the actor said, “I really want to request everyone who comments, ‘Bhai Nehu ki shaadi ho gayi’, ki mujhe pata hai (I know that Neha is married). I’m happy for the newlywed couple and I’m happy for myself. I am sick of this baseless trolling. And if people are really interested in only making fun of me, at least talk about relevant and recent things.”
Sounds about right, doesn’t it?
Further, Himansh said that he is actually worried about his parents. “I don’t feel scared for myself, but for my parents. I don’t want their name to be tarnished, especially due to a controversy that I have no role in. It took some time for my parents to stop worrying about all the messages sent to them. People didn’t even think once before abusing them through DMs and comments, questioning their integrity. They had to deal with all that because they are my parents and it’s an awful feeling to put your parents through something like this. But they are wise and evolved with ease. However, I feel people need to evolve too,” the actor said.
Earlier this year, Himansh had also opened up about the ugly phase in his life, saying that everyone made him a villain after conclusions were drawn based on what Neha said. “She cried on TV shows and everyone believed that I was to blame. I wanted to cry, too, but then we tend to put up a brave front. At the end of the day though, we are human,” added Himansh.
TBH, we don’t understand the fact why Neha’s so-called fans are trolling Himansh after her marriage. Both of them have maintained that they are in a happy space now, so why this hatred? Well, we are in dire need of the “evolution” Himansh mentioned. What do you think?
