Here’s The Real Reason Why Alia-Ranbir Might Have Postponed Their Shaadi & TBH, We’re Not Surprised

After Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s star-studded shaadi, we’d really like to witness Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s fairytale wedding. The lovebirds have been in the spotlight for almost two years for their impending nuptials. 

As per one of Ranbir’s old interviews, they would’ve gotten married by now had the pandemic not set in. While talking to a leading daily, the actor had said, “Well, I think the wedding would have already been sealed had the pandemic not hit our lives. But I don’t want to jinx it by saying anything. I am going to tick that goal very soon in my life.” 

Well, we were absolutely positive that his ‘soon’ meant December this year, as multiple reports suggested they were prepping for a winter wedding. However, then we heard rumours of them postponing their shaadi to April 2022. And now it seems like the two aren’t planning to get married early next year either. 
According to the grapevine, Alia and Ranbir are planning to get hitched in December next year. Apparently, the reason behind their delay is that they’re both tied down with work commitments. A source close to the couple revealed, “Firstly, they have choc-a-bloc shoot schedules for their respective films. December is around the corner now and everything will be in full-on action mode next year.”

The source further hinted at a destination wedding for the couple, “If the two plan a destination wedding, outside India and therefore, arrangements and prepping will take some time.”

That’s not all fam, we also hear that Ranbir and Alia would be going for a lavish holiday before the wedding and a long honeymoon after. This sounds like a great idea. They’d be relaxed whilst planning their nuptials and will get plenty of time to unwind post their big fat Indian shaadi. 

Well, we have to say that we’re eagerly waiting for December 2022 to witness their happily ever after.
