Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali recently dropped the trailer of Netflix debut, titled Heeramandi. The first look made an impression and left the internet buzzing. After all, it boasts of a stellar cast!

While SLB chose Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Shaikh to play the courtesans from Lahore’s infamous kotha, the internet thinks otherwise. This Reddit thread is proof!

According to the thread, SLB should’ve cast famous 90s heroines. Some of the names that popped up in the discussion were Rekha, Madhuri Dixit, Urmila Matondkar, Vidya Balan, and Huma Qureshi. Some even thought Konkona Sen and Swara Bhaskar would have aced the roles. Here, take a look:
