While we mostly see real-life couples or co-stars of upcoming films grace the KWK couch, there have also been some unusual and off-beat guest pairings on Koffee With Karan over the years. We definitely had our doubts about these pairs, but we were pleasantly surprised as they knocked our socks off with their brilliant on-screen chemistry.

The promo of Akshay and Samantha’s KWK episode gave us a glimpse of what we can expect, and looks like it will be a lot of fun. While the pairing may be unconventional, the two have an easy-going, comfortable vibe with each other that is sure to result in an entertaining episode!

Unconventional Pairings On KWK That Surprised Us With Their Chemistry!

Before the Akshay Kumar and Samantha Prabhu episode airs, here’s looking at some of the most unusual guest pairings on Koffee With Karan over the years! These celeb pairs didn’t have a lot in common, and weren’t exactly BFFs, but they had a fantastic chemistry that ensured they had a gala time on the show together. 

Nargis Fakhri & Freida Pinto

Nargis Fakhri and Freida Pinto! Who would have thought? It was definitely an unlikely pairing that left many doubting if it’ll be a fun episode. But the initial skepticism was soon replaced with entertainment and laughter, as the two women had effortless chemistry on screen. Nargis and Freida had met each other for the first time on Koffee With Karan, and if Freida hadn’t let us in on that detail, we wouldn’t have been able to tell! 

Kareena Kapoor Khan & Priyanka Chopra

If you’re a KWK fan, you already know why Kareena and Priyanka made it to the list of the most unusual guest pairings on Koffee With Karan! We have seen them both make some snarky remarks against each other in the previous seasons. So of course, fans were surprised when it was announced that Bebo and Priyanka would grace the KWK couch together during the sixth season. But looks like all is well between them, and they’ve buried the hatchet. It was an iconic episode, and we saw the actresses laughing over a clip showing how the duo’s relationship transformed over the years. 

Katrina Kaif & Varun Dhawan

Katrina Kaif-Varun Dhawan were another off-beat guest pair on Koffee With Karan, and fans of the show didn’t have too many expectations from the episode. But to everyone’s surprise, they had incredible camaraderie, and had some adorably funny moments that we remember till date. From Varun explaining his ‘I Hate Katrina’ club with Arjun Kapoor to him celebrating Katrina’s achievements, this episode was one we all loved watching! 

Ranveer Singh & Ranbir Kapoor

This was one of the funniest episodes in the history of Koffee With Karan, which was surprising given the only common link between them was Deepika Padukone. Besides, the two have contrasting personalities—Ranbir is known for his poised, subdued demeanour, while Ranveer is known for his unmatched energy. Nobody had a clue how this episode would pan out, but the result was simply fantastic and hilarious! Their camaraderie and banter throughout the episode kept fans glued to their screens.  

Parineeti Chopra & Alia Bhatt

Karan Johar brought Parineeti and Alia Bhatt on the KWK couch together since there was a perceived notion that the two are ‘frenemies’. In a previous episode, Alia had made a remark saying, “I do not want to offend anyone, but Parineeti Chopra needs help with her fashion sense.” Parineeti, however, gracefully agreed with Alia and introduced her on the episode as her ‘future style guru’. The two actresses shared a friendly vibe throughout the episode, and cleared the air about their alleged ‘catfights’ and ‘rivalries’.
