It always makes our hearts flutter to see desi stars fall in love and get married. But sometimes, life doesn’t promise a fairytale story for those who end up parting ways. Now while we are still trying to process Kusha Kapila and Zorawar Ahluwalia’s heartbreaking separation, whispers of another famous couple’s having trouble in their marriage is doing the rounds. Buzz has it that Ghajini actress Asin Thottumkal and entrepreneur Rahul Sharma might have called it quits.
The speculations began after Asin deleted all her Instagram pictures with Rahul, including her wedding portraits. Her feed now only features pictures of her five-year-old daughter Arin. However, there’s only a single snap of Asin with Rahul along with late actor Rishi Kapoor, which the actress posted soon after Rishi’s demise in April 2020.
Meanwhile, one of Asin’s fan pages on Instagram talked about the separation rumors. The page talked about how Asin generally does unusual things with her account where she suddenly deletes all her posts, like her parents’ wedding anniversary posts. The page also claims that Asin actually deleted the pictures back in Feb 2023. Further, they also shared all the deleted pictures of Asin and Rahul. Here, take a look.
However, Asin finally addressed the rumors and put it all to rest. She took to her ‘Gram story and wrote, “In the middle of our summer holiday right now, literally sitting across each other enjoying our breakfast and came across some very imaginative and utterly baseless NEWS’. Reminds of the time we were sitting at home together with our Families planning our wedding and we heard that we had broken up, Seriously?! Pls do better. (Disappointed to have wasted 5 mins of an otherwise wonderful holiday on this!) Have a great day you guys.“
A Look Back At Their Love Story
Asin and Rahul’s fairytale love story began after they were introduced by their mutual friend Akshay Kumar. Akshay introduced Rahul to Asin while they were flying down to Dhaka on a private jet for Housefull 2’s promotion. Asin later came to know that Rahul was the founder of YV Televentures and co-founder of Micromax Informatics. However, it was his simplicity and humility that won Asin’s heart. After exchanging their numbers the two dated for a while and finally tied the knot in Jan 2016.
