Video: Gauri Khan Captures Daughter Suhana’s First Day At College, Deletes It Later

It’s a proud moment for parents to see their kids reach great heights and accomplish big things. Recently, celebrity parents Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan shared such a moment when their daughter Suhana got admission in the prestigious New York University. In fact, Gauri even captured a video of Suhana’s first day at NYU and shared it on her Instagram stories. In the video, Suhana could be seen climbing the stairs of the university, looking ready for the new chapter in her life. But, later, Gauri deleted the video for a reason not known to us.

“A glimpse of a college freshman day. #NYU,” Gauri had captioned the video before taking it off her profile.

In the brief video, we can see that Suhana trusted a pair of blue denim shorts with frayed hems and a white tee for her first day at the university. She also carried a black tote bag and completed the OOTD with black and white chunky sneakers. With her college ID in hand and long hair down, the 19-year-old walked towards a promising future.

Speaking of the future, Suhana is all set to become an actress and has gone to study acting at NYU. She has done a few plays (she essayed the role of Juliet in the epic drama Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare) and short films in high school. Suhana recently graduated from Ardingly College in London and her exceptional contribution to drama won her a special award – The Russell Cup – at her convocation.

Gauri was there to support her daughter on her first day of college. In fact, according to her latest post on Instagram, looks like the interior designer is still in the US, galavanting with Karan Johar. “Guess who has a compulsive shopping disorder ??? ??????,” wrote Gauri, sharing a sun-kissed selfie with KJo and a friend from the streets of Soho.

Not more than a month ago, Shah Rukh was posting pictures from Suhana’s graduation from Ardingly College and now, she is already gearing up for new achievements. “4 yrs have flown by. Graduating from Ardingly. Last pizza…last train ride…and first step into the real world…school ends…learning doesn’t,” wrote SRK, sharing a beautiful family selfie with Gauri and Suhana.

The superstar shared another picture, this time with just Suhana in black and white, that said, “Last day at school. To adding new experiences and colours to your life ahead….”

Before pursuing high school in London, Suhana was in Mumbai’s Dhirubhai Ambani International School.

Talking about her study plans, bestie and Student Of The Year 2 debutant Ananya Panday had said in an interview, “Suhana’s going to NYU for studying acting and I think that’s amazing. She is such a good actor, if you’ve seen her videos online. I’ve always seen her act and loved how she is.”

The actress also spoke about their relationship and added, “We don’t have any serious conversations about acting. We’re like sisters so it’s the fun and fluffy stuff. But if anyone is making a film on three best friends, please cast Suhana, Shanaya and I – maybe a Dil Chahta Hai 2!” Now, that would be fun to watch!
