5 Forgotten Pharmacy Products That Still Deserve A Spot In Your Beauty Kit

If you grew up in the ’90s or before, you’ve probably heard about these gems and have used them religiously too. Old-school pharmacy products make me nostalgic, and looking back, they really helped me fight so many beauty woes easily.

Of course, today the market is saturated with new beauty products that have advanced formulations. But this advancement in the beauty industry has made us forget about hero pharmacy finds that used to be an integral part of our routines. The amazing part is these forgotten pharmacy finds have such classic and effective formulas that they are must-haves even today.

Kailas Jeevan

This cooling ayurvedic cream was the first thing we’d reach for in case of a huge pimple or a mosquito bite. The cream instantly soothes and hydrates skin and reduces swelling overnight.

Lacto Calamine

When my oily skin got too out of control during the summers, this beauty lotion would save the day. It gives the skin a soft matte look and helps control excess sebum and prevents breakouts. This lotion was also used to fade chicken pox scars and I’ve never seen any new beauty product work that way.

Vicco Turmeric

This is the OG moisturiser that almost all millennials began with. Vicco Turmeric cream did everything to make the skin healthy and glowing. The formula of this cream is so iconic, it was and still is considered an all-rounder face cream that works for every skin type.

Vaseline

What would we do without this trusted tub of petroleum jelly? From healing chapped lips to cracked heels, this product is iconic and is still a beauty staple across the globe. It is today even used as a beauty hack to lock in moisturise in the skin and it’s called slugging.

Boroline

If I ever had a bad breakout and had to deal with pesky acne scars and wounds, this antiseptic ayurvedic cream would come to my rescue. The product not only helped heal skin wounds, but it also helped deeply moisturise the skin during extreme dry conditions, especially in the winter.

The best part about these classic pharmacy products is that they are so effective and yet so affordable. In case you’re on a budget and can’t afford expensive new-age products, these pharmacy products will always be there for you.
