Sara Ali Khan, The Youngest & Only Star Kid To Make It To Forbes’ 2019 Celebrity 100 List
“Led by two movie releases, Kedarnath and Simmba, this 24-year-old has just about started to get noticed,” is what Forbes India has to say about Sara Ali Khan. And they’re damn right! The celebrity kid started her career as an actress in Bollywood a year ago and is already seen EVERYWHERE. From social media and fashion shows to print ads and billboards, wherever you look, there’s Sara ‘getting noticed’. Typical Leo!
Apart from bagging interesting roles in movies and endorsing a new brand like every other day, Sara Ali Khan now “jumps into the list” of Forbes’ 2019 Celebrity 100. The list ranks Indian celebrities based on an aggregate of their estimated earnings and their calculated fame quotient, via print and social media reach. And for the year 2019, Sara is the youngest and the only celebrity kid to make it to the list, ranking 66th with Rs 5.75 crore earnings!
While the 24-year-old is featuring on rich people lists, here we are waiting for a Christmas miracle to survive the rest of the month.
Sara Ali Khan’s debut to the list, which features saalon-se-established celebs like Alia Bhatt (at 8th position) and Deepika Padukone (at 10th), is led by several brand endorsements which include Veet, Fanta, Puma, Fiama, Garnier, Vivo, Ceriz and TBZ among others. Clearly, she’s a brand favourite! Imagine what this number will become next year when her films Aaj Kal (opposite Kartik Aaryan) and Coolie No. 1 (opposite Varun Dhawan) release in 2020!
Other actresses on the list include:
Alia Bhatt with Rs 59.21 crores–who moved up the list from rank 12 to 8, thanks to her massive social media popularity.
Deepika Padukone with Rs 48 crores–who had no film releases this year, and slipped from number 4 to number 10.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas with Rs 23.4 crores–who jumped from 49 last year to 14 this year owing to her strong social media presence.
Anushka Sharma with Rs 28.67 crores–who had only one film release this year, hence, slipped from number 16 to number 21.
Katrina Kaif with Rs 23.63 crores–who slipped from number 21 on the list last year to 23 this year.
The list also includes Shradhha Kapoor, Neha Kakkar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Kriti Sanon, Parineeti Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Disha Patani, Sunny Leone in the Top 50.
The celebrity to top the list, however, isn’t from the entertainment industry but from the sports world. It is none other than our cricket skipper, Virat Kohli with Rs 252.72 crores. This was through match fees, the BCCI central contract, brand endorsements and an eight-figure fee for every sponsored Instagram post. Whoa!
