FLOBW’s Seema Sajdeh Gets Trolled For Not Being A ‘Bollywood Wife’ But She Has The Most Badass Reply
In the last three days, we have binged the hell out of Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives Season 2 and it is fair to say Seema Sajdeh owned this season. The ‘chulbuli‘ Bombay girl is one of our favourite Bollywood wives and we are obsessed with her wit. While most of us can’t get enough of how sassy Seema’s is, a few others had snarky remarks to make about the designer.
In a recent interview, Seema responded to some mean comments on the internet. When one social media user asked the fashion designer why she was still a part of the series when she was no longer a ‘Bollywood wife’. This was clearly a taunt on Seema and Sohail Khan’s divorce and TBH it was uncalled for.
Seema replied to the comment and said, “I didn’t know women were defined by their husbands and their last name. Is that their only identity?”
NGL, we totally agree with Seema. A woman is much more than her relationship status or last name. On FLOBW, Seema always kept it real and we love her for that.
During the show, Seema spoke about her decision to drop ‘Khan’ from her name. The designer shared that she is still trying to wrap her head around the fact that her kids won’t have the same last name as her. She told Nirvaan, “There is no last name involved, there are three of us. It doesn’t discount the fact that we are always going to be a family. I am also in a place in my life where I have to move forward as well. A big part of me not moving ahead is you. I know this is a new chapter in my life and I don’t know how it is going to be. It is actually very complicated.”
Later, Seema opened up about her divorce in a conversation with Indian Matchmaking star Sima Taparia and shared that she separated from her husband five years ago. She shared, “We had a different point of view and it is not that they didn’t try.”
It takes a lot of courage to talk about divorce on TV, so kudos to Seema for always keeping it real.
