Our lifestyles have gone for a major toss because of the coronavirus pandemic. While we might be working from home right now, we are still not doing a lot of stuff that we would have done otherwise on regular days, dressing up for work being one of them!
In fact, for so many of us, a major part of the motivation to go about any particular day comes from actually preparing for it. Thankfully, so many celebrities and influencers across the world are busy explaining to us the importance of dressing up every single day to keep our spirits up during chaotic times. And while they are at it, we are busy checking out their quarantine outfits, which have us totally rooting for their style, but more so for the comfort factor.
All the power suits and flattering dresses have suddenly disappeared from the ‘Gram only to be replaced by utility clothing and outfits so comfy you’d want to spend your entire lives in them and why not? If not anything else, the current crisis is sure going to change how we look at fashion and from the looks of it, comfortable clothing is here for much longer than few might anticipate.
Willing to join the comfort clothing bandwagon post quarantine? Here are five trends that you should be following:
Button-Down Shirts
The real beauty of button-down shirts lies in their breezy silhouette that lets you go comfy while never compromising on that touch of sexy! Influencers and celebrities across the world are currently wearing them with a pair of lounge pants or just as it is and boy aren’t we eyeing each one of those styles! Take your oversized shirt or take out a shirt from your partner’s wardrobe, pair it with whatever looks cool to you and spend your work from home days in the utmost style. For your back-to-work look post quarantine, add a pair of slouchy jeans or just a belt and you’d be all set!
Co-ord Sets
Now, co-ord suits were already around for quite some time as a micro trend. But quarantine has turned them into a MAJOR one! Okay, to begin with, let’s not confuse them with tracksuits. Think of loose albeit chic jersey tops and relaxed pants in solid neons or a pleasant pastel. Yes, that’s the real deal. Easy, comfy, and uber stylish. Also, there is no shying away from prints and right from florals to some houndstooth, everything looks equally stylish when it comes to co-ord sets. Wear them at home for all your conference calls and then add a pair of nude pumps and a matching bag for when everything goes back to normal in the post-quarantine world.
Pop-Of-Colour Sports Bra
With the bra tops already in trend right now, how about we give it a comfy twist? And in case you are worried about compromising on the style factor, just opt for solid hues that pop out and highlight your outfit. Oh and once all of this is over, you can simply wear them with a button-down shirt, a pair of relaxed pants and there’s no way you are not going to get any compliments!
Old, Forgotten Racer Tanks
All of us have at least one (high chances that you have more), old, forgotten racer tank that you must have cast aside after they went out of vogue. Ladies, we have news for you: all those racer tops are back and how! Plus there are just so many ways of playing with them right now. Wear a racerback tank as it is or go the DIY route, cut and sew your way through it. Let your creativity unleash for there’s just no wrong way of wearing that tank top right now.
The Return Of The Body Suit
In all honesty, bodysuits had a moment just before quarantine when Deepika Padukone wore an all-black Balmain that broke the internet. And while we do have a thing or two to say about her satin lapeled blazer, it was her bodycon jumpsuit that had the fashion corridors buzzing. Well looks like with the entire world in quarantine and the Jenner sisters going all gaga after their crazy collection of bodysuits, this trend is going to go bigger once we get back to our normal lives. Just put on an oversized summer blazer over your bodysuit, trust us, this look is pure gold! Also, do we really have to remind you about the ease of movement in these beauties?
So ladies, all set to go a little slow and a lot more comfortable when it comes to fashion post quarantine?
