Fashion Hits & Misses From The MAMI Film Festival

The JIO MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2023 made a grand comeback on October 27, and it was every bit the fashion extravagant we’d hoped for. Hosted at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre(NMACC), the event drew a slew of actors, each bringing the best from the fashion world. Whether it was Priyanka Chopra in a sizzling white gown or Sonam Kapoor in a structured black number, everyone stole the limelight with their fashion choices. However, there were some attendees who might have missed the mark by an inch.

Fashion Hits

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra not only served as the chairman of the event but she served looks too. The actress arrived at the event in a stunning white figure-hugging gown that featured sequins and ruffles all over. She layered over an oversized satin cape that added a dose of drama to her outfit. PC completed her look with a pair of diamond earrings, a high bun, and glamm makeup.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

We have rarely seen Kareena aka Bebo miss the fashion mark with her sartorial choices and her latest look was no different. She wore a sleek black dress featuring loose sleeves and a drape-like skirt. We love the pink sleeve detailing that added a pop of colour to her outfit. A pair of pink studded earrings perfectly complement her whole outfit.

Diana Penty

Diana is an underrated gem in the fashion world and it’s not hard to see why. She graced the film festival wearing a pantsuit but with a stunning twist. She went with a classic pair of trousers but added a unique touch to the coat which featured a bustier with a single button and a gold embellished detailing on the top. Diana added a stack of gold bangles to complement her look.

Bhumi Pednekar

Bhumi gave the classic lehenga choli style a modern twist and we love it. She made a head-turning statement in an emerald-green co-ord set that featured a draped skirt and a halter neck top. The dupatta added a traditional touch to her look. The matching earrings and her flawless glamm makeup stole the spotlight for us.

Fashion Misses

Sonam Kapoor

No doubt Sonam is the ultimate fashionista of Bollywood. But this time the actress left us a tad bit disappointed with her event outfit. From the huge shoulders to the chain detailing at the bottom of her skirt, nothing is working in her favour. And the huge pearl necklace and earring set could have been avoided.

Tejasswi Prakash

The telly star is finally carving a niche for herself and we are all for it. She graced the film festival in a shimmery gown featuring a floor-sweeping trail. However, the mismatched upper and her makeup are definitely not working for us.
