On April 22, Salman Khan‘s sister, Arpita Khan, and her husband, Aayush Sharma, hosted a spectacular Eid feast at their home, like they do every year. Eid ki Raat turned into a starry night as many of our favourite celebs attended the bash. While most of them were dressed to the nines, a few fell short of the mark.
Let’s look at all the best and worst looks that we spotted at Arpita Khan’s Eid bash:
Hits
Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif, who is extremely close to Arpita Khan, arrived at the party looking like the Eid ka chaand herself. She wore an off-white anarkali suit that was adorned with chikankari work. A pair of matching juttis and chaandbalis made this look one of our favourites from the night!
Disha Patani
Disha Patani gave us major lessons on how to style a saree the modish way! She looked stunning in a bottle green sheer saree that came with tiered ruffles and a shiny border. The saree was draped over a shimmery bralette-style blouse that featured a halter neck. We love how Disha kept the accessories minimal, with only a pair of statement earrings.
Shehnaaz Gill
Shehnaaz Gill has clearly mastered the art of minimal dressing. The actress wore a hot pink sharara set that featured a short kurti teamed with wide-legged bottoms. The outfit was simple yet elegant, and the dupatta accentuated its beauty. Shehnaaz’s look maintained the minimalism factor as she accessorised with a pair of simple dainty earrings.
Dia Mirza
Dia Mirza’s Eid look was a lot like Katrina’s. And just like Kat, Dia didn’t disappoint either. She looked lovely in an ivory salwar suit, which included a long kurti and ankle-length bottoms. She wore the dupatta behind her back, allowing the silver foil work on her kurti to shine through. The ensemble was completed with matching juttis and stunning earrings.
Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut looked no less than a gorgeous begum as she arrived in an OTT salwar suit. With a yellow anarkali style kurti, purple bottoms, and an olive green dupatta draped from behind, the outfit had a lot of contrasting elements. Kangana stood out among the other guests with her zari-work ensemble, accessorised with shiny juttis that complemented the glitz of her outfit.
Pooja Hegde
If there were an award for the “most ideal Eid outfit,” Pooja Hegde would definitely be the winner! The actress made an appearance in an off-white sharara set that featured a short, sleeveless kurti teamed with matching sharara pants. The ensemble was heavily doused in sequins and glitter. Pooja earned some extra brownie points by draping the dupatta like a cape and accessorising with a matching potli bag.
Misses
Palak Tiwari
This outfit was a total letdown in comparison to Palak Tiwari‘s fashion potential. The young actress chose a sheer black saree paired with a sequin bralette-style blouse for the event. While the outfit would have been perfect for a wedding reception, it just didn’t seem Eid-appropriate. Plus, the saree was poorly draped and definitely did not serve Palak well.
Genelia Deshmukh
Genelia Deshmukh has the potential to make any outfit look good. However, she missed the mark at the Eid party as she arrived in an electric blue velvet ensemble. The outfit featured a long floral velvet kurta that was paired with matching pants. The eccentric colour and the velvet sheen made the attire look a little gaudy. Also, the nose ring was simply not working for Genelia.
Sonakshi Sinha
While it’s never too difficult to go wrong with a simple white outfit, bad styling can break any look. Sonakshi Sinha wore a Pakistani-style all-white ensemble featuring a modest kurti and embroidered cigarette pants. She draped the dupatta like a cape and completed the look with a statement choker. The silhouette of the outfit simply did not flatter Sonakshi. However, her mini white handbag deserves some appreciation.
Arpita Khan and Aayush Sharma definitely made our Eid a whole lot glamm!
