The Best Brow Grooming Products & Trends You Should Try

When it comes to the face, nothing quite defines it like the eyebrows do. The right shape and style of eyebrows can cover up a large forehead, alter your expressions or even slightly adjust your face shape and enhance your other features.

Basically, your eyebrows are the defining feature of your face. Over the years, we’ve seen multiple brow trends come and go with a few actually sticking around and making a mark. Here are some noteworthy ones that even got celebrities stamps of approval.

Razor Thin & Long Brows

Every millennial and the generation before has been subject to this (now questionable) eyebrow trend. Razor-thin, barely there brows were big in the late ’90s and early ’00s with celebrities both in India and on international waters following it to the T.

Tweezers were the only tool required to achieve this over-plucked brow shape. If you’re keen on experimenting (please don’t), the Sirona Tweezer is your go-to product.

Bleached Brows

This trend has been going in and out of style for a while now. Madonna brought the trend to us back in the day but it was popularised recently again thanks to the Kardashian-Jenner clan who have been experimenting with it. It makes for a daring look and is not for the faint-hearted!

The Oxyglow Gold Bleach Cream & Cream Activator is a safe product to try out the look if you’re feeling really gutsy and experimental!

Arched Brows

Do you ever see someone and wonder why they always look surprised? It’s probably because of their brow shape. Arched brows usually defy the natural brow line and, well, as the name suggests, arch upwards at the brow bone, rather than follow the natural hairline. The trend was revolutionised by Priyanka Chopra and Shilpa Shetty, to name a few, in their earlier films.

Brushed-up & Uneven Brows

To create the illusion of thicker and fuller brows, the eyebrows are brushed upwards and to give them a fuller and almost unkept ook. This doesn’t involve trimming the brow hair and evening it out but instead allowing each hair to have its day! This brow style is perfect for those who aren’t naturally blessed with thick hair brow hair growth but still make the most of what they have.

A simple brow gel will help achieve the look and hold the hair in place. The L’Oreal Paris Unbelieva Brow Transparent Fixative Gel is a seriously good pick to get the look.

Fuller, Laminated Brows

Probably the most common and relevant brow trend for us today, it seems like this trend is (thankfully) here to stay. Natural, full and fluffy brows that aren’t overplucked, is how almost every celebrity is styling their brows now. The eyebrows are perfectly shaped with the hairline as even as it gets but still so fluffy, it looks so natural!

The Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow + Volumizing Eyebrow Gel will give the brows a deep brown pigment while also keeping them in place.

Brow Grooming Tips:

Today, in the world of beauty, less is more. The lesser product and lesser torture you subject your skin and hair to, the better it is for you. While celebrities like Bella Hadid and Kylie Jenner and all about experimenting with their ultra-thin brows and brining back the early ’90s, only we millennials know the sheer patience we needed to have to let your eyebrows grow back to their original form.

A brow-boosting product like The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum works well and doesn’t sting the eyes either.

And if you do want to keep your hair in check, a simple pair of sharp scissors like the Beauty Bite Trimmer Scissors is all you need.

While Bella Hadid and Kylie Jenner have been experimenting with their brows and trying hard to bring back the razor-thin and bleached brow trends, I’d suggest you tread wisely. Us millennials have been through the process of over-plucking and tweezing our brows and still regretting it.

For more classic and cleaner looks, Hailey Bieber, Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone are the idea brow muses!
