Emraan Hashmi Claims Karan Johar Forced Him To Call Aishwarya Rai ‘Plastic’!

Koffee With Karan has a reputation for opening a can of worms. Many cold wars and rivalries begin from this couch and some even end here. Well, out of all, the beef between Emraan Hashmi and Aishwarya Rai created a lot of buzz.

What started as Emraan making a fun comment about Aishwarya during KWK’s infamous rapid-fire round, went to a level that the two stars still don’t talk to each other. Here’s all that went wrong between Emraan and Aish:

How It All Began?

Back in the day, Emraan Hashmi made an appearance on Karan’s talk show alongside Mahesh Bhatt. Owing to their ‘no-fucks given’ personalities, the Raaz duo got brutally candid during the rapid-fire round and didn’t even spare the Bollywood biggies. While Mahesh Bhatt called Sanjay Leela Bhansali ‘an overrated filmmaker’, his nephew Emraan took it up a notch by talking about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s appearance. When Karan asked him, “Name an actor/actress that comes to your mind when I say plastic?” The actor didn’t hesitate to say, “Aishwarya Rai Bachchan!” Watch the video, here:

Later, Emraan publicly apologised to Aishwarya for his harsh comments and blamed KJo for putting words into his mouth. During an interview, he said, “I didn’t mean it. I’m a big fan of Aishwarya. It’s the format of the show. I can not say things and not win the hamper. I love her. I have always been a great admirer of her work. I knew people would make a big deal out of it… so what, people make a big deal out of nonsense all the time. It’s that show, plus Karan pushes you to say these things.”

When Aishwarya Broke Silence On Being Called ‘Plastic!’

Somebody rightly said, ‘Sorry can’t make a dead man alive.’ 

Despite Emraan’s heartfelt apology to Aish, the Guru actress was in no mood to let the bygones be bygones. During one of her interviews with a leading daily in 2019, she said that the worst thing anyone has ever said about her is that she is fake and plastic!

In fact, she recently even turned down one of Milan Luthria’s films when she got to know that she’d have to do a few scenes with Emraan Hashmi.
