Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural show Naagin is already on the fourth season. The show that is based on a shapeshifting serpent has been one of the highest-rated shows on TV. In the first two seasons, Mouni Roy essayed the lead role but she left soon after to pursue her Bollywood dreams. That’s when Surbhi Jyoti entered the show in Season 3 and played the Naagin. There has been a lot of speculation and buzz about the new Naagin ever since Ekta released a teaser of the show in September (if you watch Bigg Boss, you might have seen this dramatic trailer). Just last night, Ekta took to Twitter to welcome the new leading lady for season 4.
Nia Sharma will be the new Naagin, Ekta said “Welcome to the world of Naagins “Nia Sharma” @Theniasharma #Naagin- Bhagya Kaa Zehreela Khel only on @ColorsTV Coming Soon #ShobhaKapoor @BTL_Balaji @tanusridgupta1 @ketansgupta @ChloeJFerns @MuktaDhond”
Nia Sharma, well known for her role in the hit show Jamai Raja and Ishq Mein Marjawan was thrilled and grateful to have bagged the role. She said “And thank you a ‘million’ times for this opportunity @ektaravikapoor 🙏💯 It’s an absolute honor and privilege.”
While the trailer did not show the face of the Naagins, speculation suggested that it could either be Nia Sharma, Krystle D’Souza or Aalisha Panwar being roped in to play the role of the Naagins. Here’s the trailer that Ekta shared earlier. She captioned it “#NAAGIN4 ….TEASER 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍Aaj #bigboss aur bahut jald #nagin4 …. only on @colors #colorsweekendgetsgoingagain“
Well, at least we know who the first Naagin will be on season 4 and we can’t help but wonder who’s the second. Any guesses?
