Runway To IRL: 6 Eyeliner Styles That Are On Our Radar This Season

Want to switch things up with your eyeliner game? There are a variety of cool editorial eyeliner styles you can try instead of simply sticking to the classic wing. Now we know you might be thinking that even a basic wing liner is such a task to get right that trying editorial styles is clearly aiming too high. Well, we are about to change your mind! These editorial eyeliner trends are mod and chic, and you won’t even believe how easy they are to recreate. We take you through the looks to keep your eyeliner game fresh for 2022.

6 Editorial Eyeliner Trends To Try IRL

Bubbly BAU

This is the coolest and quirkiest editorial eyeliner style that deserves more real time. It is a great alternative to vibrant eyeshadow looks as it doesn’t even require you to do much hard work. Simply bring out your colourful eyeliners and create circles across your lids. Keep it colourful and have fun with it. Just make sure your brows are properly tamed and your lashes swooshed with mascara.

Wide Eyes

If you only want to tweak your classic winged liner, try this look as it packs a punch. After you’ve drawn on your winged eyeliner, apply white eyeliner on the outer corners of the lower lashlines and then outline that with straight black eyeliner. Your eyes will instantly look wider and your look gets more retro.

Fiery Fun

Go abstract with your eyeliner to have some fun with it. Here neon orange eyeliner is used to create horizontal lines at the crease and a single dot is also placed at the centre of the upper lash lines. It truly speaks that cool-girl language. You can use a ruler or a makeup brush to guide your hands while creating the straight lines.

The Switch Up

Reverse those pigments to make an impact. Instead of using colourful eyeshadow with black eyeliner, use coloured eyeliner on black eyeshadow. This a clear example of how bomb it can look. Blend black eyeshadow on your lids and then opt for the fox eyeliner trend with acid green eyeliner.

Bright Eyes

Trade your black kohl for a super pigmented white eyeliner. This look will give the illusion of bigger eyes and it is also quite edgy at the same time. Go bold with the white eyeliner on your lower lash lines and extend it at the outer and inner corners to create sharp wings. Tightline your upper lash lines with brown kohl and wear mascara.

Wing Cheat

Get the illusion of symmetrical and sharp winged liner by trying out this cool negative space eyeliner trend. Just do your winged eye makeup as usual and then trace a horizontal line at the same level of your crease, above the outer corners of both eyes.

Edgy and versatile enough to wear IRL, right? Which ones are you going to try?
