Beach weddings are oh-so-dreamy! The setting sun, the azure ocean and the wedding party dressed to the Ts are a photographer’s dream. Whenever we see a beach wedding picture, we can’t stop gushing over how magical it looks. And the recent pictures that are making us believe and dream about a fairytale beach wedding are that of Dwayne Johnson and Lauren Hashian.
On Monday, Dwayne surprised everyone by announcing his wedding to longtime partner Lauran Hashian. Dwayne took to social media to share this gorgeous wedding picture that took place in Hawaii. Take a look at the picture:
The smiles, that blue water and look at that ‘just-got-married-to-the-love-of-my-life’ glow!
Dwayne gave the sweetest caption to the picture. He wrote, “We do. August 18th, 2019. Hawaii. Pōmaikaʻi (blessed).”
Dwayne and Lauren are parents to two lovely daughters, Jasmine and Tiana. Their wedding was scheduled to happen in 2018. However, the couple delayed the wedding after they learned that Lauren was expecting their second child. In an interview earlier with Rolling Stone, Dwayne spoke about why the wedding was delayed, “Mama don’t wanna take wedding pictures with a big belly – Mama wanna look good.”
While Dwayne wore an easy-breezy dress shirt with white trousers by Ralph Lauren, Lauren looked every bit a beachy bride in a dainty white gown by designer Mira Zwillinger. Just look at that plunging neckline! We also love that traditional Hawaiian touch that Dwayne added to his outfit with a garland draped over his shoulders.
Dwayne first met Lauren, a singer/songwriter/producer, in 2006 while he was filming, The Game Plan and they started dating in 2007. The couple has been together for more than a decade and were in no hurry to tie the knot. In an interview earlier with Entertainment Tonight, “I just refer to her as my wife all the time. So a lot of people are like, ‘Oh, did you get married?’
“I’m like, ‘No. Easy. Don’t rush big daddy,” he added.
Dwayne was earlier married to film producer Dany Garcia for 10 years and they have an 18-year-old daughter, Simone. The couple separated in 2007.
On the work front, Dwayne delivered another hit with the Fast & Furious spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw. The film has made more than US$400 million so far. He will be seen next in Jumanji follow-up later this year.
