Now, this is one show where the woman actually divorced her husband and moved on with her life. We were hoping for Anupamaa to dump Vanraj right from day one and were beyond happy to see that happen. All Vanraj ever did was treat his wife like his property, yell at her and expect her to take care of ‘his’ house. And don’t even get us started on how he expected her to put up with his cheating ways. We’re glad that she chose to end things with her toxic husband but we’d like her to move out of his house so that can finally live her life without any drama! Here’s hoping the makers of the show  are reading this!

Patralekha From Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin

Patralekha loves Virat but marries his brother, Samrat, against her wishes due to certain family circumstances. Things soon get complicated when her husband learns about her relationship with his brother. But instead of talking it out or moving on, Samrat simply abandons her like a manchild. This results in Patralekha being stuck in a house where she has to face her ex everyday with no support from her husband. This is defs one character that deserves a fresh start. 

Ishita From Yeh Hai Mohabbatein

Raman marries a strong career-oriented woman, Dr. Ishita, and expects her to put her life on hold to take care of his daughter and his family. He constantly doubts her intentions, fights with her and even gets back with his ex multiple times. While Ishita is nothing but patient to her undeserving husband who keeps finding ways to bring her down. If only the two could get divorced so that Ishita could live in peace!

Imlie

Where do we even begin with this problematic jodi? Everything about their relationship seems wrong to us. Aditya introduces his new wife, Imlie, as his house help to his girlfriend! He expects Imlie to hide their marital status from everybody and help fool his girlfriend into marrying him. What’s even worse is that she agrees because she loves him and has nowhere else to go. After Aditya gets married to his girlfriend Malini, he realises his love for his first wife and gets back with her. Imlie deserves someone who loves her and isn’t afraid of saying so to the world. TBH, both Imlie and Malini deserve better and Aditya deserves to end up alone!

Khushi From Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon

Arnav blackmails Khushi into marrying him, as he believes that she is having an affair with his jiju. Wow! He doesn’t believe her in spite of Khushi telling him the truth a zillion times. Instead, he  keeps finding new ways to make her life miserable every day. We wish Khushi would tell him to eff off instead of putting up with his inhuman ways. 

We seriously wish the makers of these shows realise that there are better ways to top the TRP charts rather than glorifying toxic relationships. We’re tired of watching a woman doing everything in her power to make the marriage work while the man does absolutely nothing.
