Dior just launched their Fall 2023 collection at the Gateway of India in Mumbai!
While we were super excited to see what the collection had in store for us, the guests also put their best foot forward in terms of fashion. Some shone brighter than the Gateway of India, while others fell short. Let’s take a look at the fashion looks we absolutely a(dior)ed, as well as a few that could’ve been better.
Hits
Sonam Kapoor Ahuja
Mommy Kapoor Ahuja absolutely ate and left no crumbs! The diva looked exceptionally pretty in pink as she donned a bubblegum pink Dior dress with an oversized blazer. While the outfit was a winner in itself, the accessories just made it better. Nikhil Mansata did a phenomenal job styling Sonam in traditional jewellery from The Gem Palace. The look was completed with a tiny Dior bag and fusion heels.
The Ambani Girls
The Ambani girls – Isha and Radhika Merchant, all arrived looking their absolute best! While Isha stuck to the theme which was “chilled easy” in a floral yellow Kaftan dress, Radhika looked angelic in a pleated white dress and black pumps. However, it was Shloka Ambani’s sister that actually stole the limelight. She looked gorgeous in a sheer black saree that she styled with a Dior bralette. Iconic! Also, love their cutesy Dior bags!
Anushka Sharma & Virat Kohli
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have proven that no one can compete with them in terms of fashion! With their recent looks, the two have been setting major #CoupleGoals. While Anushka looked radiant in a bright yellow gown with an open back adorned with a cutesy bow, her hubby looked dapper in a casual khaki suit and white sneakers. Definitely mommy and daddy goals!
Athiya Shetty
There’s no denying that Athiya Shetty exudes major supermodel vibes. The actress made everyone stop and stare as she nailed the romantic dressing trend in a sultry white one-shoulder gown. She accessorised with a pearl choker, delicate earrings, and a matching Dior mini bag. The red lip was like a cherry on top!
Karisma Kapoor
The Gen Z girls can never even come close to Lolo! Karisma Kapoor has always been a stunner, and even at the age of 48, she dresses to impress! The actress definitely understood the assignment as she arrived in a khaki shirt dress that was cinched at the waist with a corset-like belt. Lolo’s black mules, pearl jewellery, mini beige bag, and sleek high bun, flawlessly complemented the entire look.
Priyanka Gill
Our in-house fashionista, Priyanka Gill, co-founder, Good Glamm Group and CEO, the Good Media Co, was dressed to the nines in a black Dior midi dress with a cutesy skater skirt. The fashionista paid homage to the luxury label in the most beautiful way possible, styling the look with pointed-toe Dior heels and a contrasting blue mini bag. What a stunner!
Kanika Kapoor
Kanika Kapoor looked like a total baby doll herself as she arrived in a fusion outfit that worked in her favour. She chose to style her casual white Dior tee with a black tulle midi skirt and layered it with a chic Dior blazer. The adorable choker, dainty hoops, and mini bag upped the look. I also love how she chose to team her heels with sheer black stockings!
Misses
Ananya Panday
I believe Ms. Panday took the “chill easy” theme too seriously. Ananya arrived in a hot pink co-ord set featuring a baggy tee and matching shorts. The look could’ve been better if she would’ve chosen a pair of sleek heels, but the schoolgirl shoes made matters worse. However, brownie points for the chic pearl necklace and mini Dior handbag!
Natasha Poonawalla
Mrs.Vaccine rarely disappoints, so we had high expectations from her. However, as the saying goes, expectations lead to disappointment. Natasha Poonawalla looked like a cane doll in a beige strapless dress that was far too pale for her skin tone. The philanthropist wore her heels with sheer black socks that reached almost to her knees. The appearance was overall a little disjointed. Mrs. Poonawalla’s metallic gold Dior saddle bag, on the other hand, came to the rescue!
Shweta Bachchan
Shweta Bachchan went for a fusion look, wearing a crisp white shirt with an ivory chikankari lehenga. While I appreciate the effort, the look did not turn out as chic as one would have hoped. Her layered ruby neckpiece, on the other hand, has me completely smitten!
Khushi Kapoor
Khushi Jenner’s stylist did not serve her well, which is disappointing given her fashion potential. The star wore a black and white checkered dress with a high-low hemline that looked a lot like a tablecloth. She accessorised with black mules and a Dior handbag. On the bright side, her pearl accessories and hair bow saved the look!
While the guests had their share of fashion hits and misses, the Dior show was superhit overall!
