The husband-wife duo of Dinesh Karthik and Dipika Pallikal are all set to prove their mettle in their respective fields this week. While Dinesh Karthik takes on the role of captain for Kolkata Knight Riders in the 11th edition of IPL, Dipika is all set to defend her gold medal in squash at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. And to wish his wife all the best for her upcoming match, the Nidahas Trophy winner posted the sweetest, most heartwarming message on Instagram.

“To be able to support my wife to achieve her goals is everything to me! 4 years back we both got on a plane heading home wd a Gold medal from the Commonwealth games, today as she lands for yet another commonwealth games after 4 long years of hardwork, I can only hope that she has a time of her life in Gold Coast. These 4 years have been tough, she’s worked hard, lived out of a suitcase for many months, looked after our home, supported me through everything and yet never once complained about anything. For me to be able to support her is everything. To everyone competing at the Commonwealth games in Gold Coast – Good Luck. Make some memories and more importantly enjoy each moment.”

Dinesh not only wished his wife for the upcoming games but also spoke about all the hard work she’s put into her sport. With cricket clearly overshining every other sport in India, it’s important to acknowledge the efforts of other sports people too. He even pointed out how the ace squash player has not only been committed to her sport but to their home and to their relationship. He ended it by reminding her to enjoy each and every moment.
The cricketer even took to Twitter to wish good luck to everyone participating in the CWG!
