The Difference Between Prabhas & Deepika Padukone’s Fee For ‘Project K’ Will Blow Your Mind

All the internet can talk about is Project K. The film, a big-budget sci-fi action epic has the most interesting star cast. Deepika Padukone and Prabhas are playing the leads in Project K and everything about the film is over the top, including the actors’ fees. According to reports, both Prabhas and Deepika are being paid a massive amount for the project but there is a catch.

Grapevine has it that DP is charging 20 crore for the project. My hands are sweating while talking about this hefty amount! But wait, Prabhas has allegedly charged a whopping 150 crores for the film.

Reportedly the film is being made with a budget of 600 crore. In this, Rs 200 crore has been allocated for celeb fees. Phew, that’s what you call a pricey project! Scroll down for the first look of Project K:

In all honestly, the wage gap between Prabhas and Deepika is shocking to say the least.

The most surprising thing in all of this is how Deepika was okay with such a vast pay difference. Pay disparity is not a new issue in the film industry. In the past, many actresses have spoken about the same. Well, DP reportedly rejected a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film because she demanded the same amount as her male co-star for Baiju Bawra. But it appears that not a lot has changed. It remains to be seen if Deepika will speak up on the subject.

I think the only thing we can do is wait for the film to wrap up so that we can see if Prabhas and Deepika have a major difference in the screen time too. Maybe that will explain the wage gap?
