Paris Couture Week has kickstarted in full swing and our desi peeps are owning it, and how. Be it ace designer Rahul Mishra getting immense praise for highlighting the work of Indian artisans’ or Indian fashionistas ruling the French capital with their charming looks, Day 1 at the Haute Couture Week was a dream. From luxury fashion queen, Masoon Minawala to Bollywood’s fave, Diana Penty, here’s what our desi divas wore on Day 1. Scroll down:
Diana Penty
When someone said you can rock the entire world with just a pair of denim in your backpack, guess they were talking about Diana’s look. The Cocktail actress made an appearance at the Haute Couture Week in collaboration with Lenskart. The diva wore a Rahul Mishra’s best-seller hand-embroidered Cosmos corset top and paired it with a pair of classic flared denim. The best bit about her entire attire? Her gold-studded capsule bag by Marzook. A 10/10 serve.
Masoom Minawala
Is it even a fashion event in the city of love without fashion’s fave child, Masoom being in attendance? For her first look, the diva flaunted a Loeve co-ord set from their “Pixel” Capsule Collection, which comprised an unbuttoned mini-skirt and denim shacket. She styled the ensemble with the ‘Soap’ heels from the same brand to add a touch of eccentricity to the look and carried the classic Jacquemus Le Chiquito Moyen mini bag.
Juhi Godambe
For the runway show of GEORGES HOBEIKA, Juhi wore a lilac-hued ruffled gown by Falguni Shane Peacock India, featuring a black corset bodice. An intricate black bow-shaped detailing added the right amount of drama to the look. She kept it subtle with the makeup game and added a bunch of minimal accessories by Karishma Joolry. Her baby-pink-coloured Lady Dior surely amped up the outfit up to several notches.
Aashna Shroff
Sorry Disney, but we’ve found our desi Cinderella to obsess over. Aashna stole the show in a customized Rahul Mishra hand-embroidered gown from their Cosmos collection. Be it the well-fitted corset around the bodice or the train of ruffles in the gown, everything was so magical about her attire. Giving Juhi a fashion face-off, Aashna too, carried a powder-pink coloured Lady Dior.
Roshni Chopra
Actor turned influencer Roshni Chopra stood apart as she donned a Rahul Mishra customized 3D hand-embroidered leotard from their TREE OF LIFE collection. She wore the intricate piece with a pair of leather skorts and added the finishing touch by adding a Saffiano Prada Triangle bag and fabric high-heel ankle boots.
Sanjana Batra
Channeling her inner boss babe for Rahul Mishra’s runway show, fashion icon Sanjana Batra opted for a Twinkle Hanspal charcoal-black coloured blazer and pant set with bright pink-hued 3D flower detailing. She relied on VRK jewels for a beautiful pair of drop earrings and carried a rani-pink Lady Dior.
Looking at these out-of-the-box looks on Day 1, we can’t wait to witness what these divas have in store for us!
