Dhadak’s Trailer Is Here And Honestly, We’ve Seen It All Before!

Dhadak is an adaptation of Marathi film, Sairat, a film that broke records. And after a first look at the trailer, it seems like this adaptation is all set to follow the same path. It’s colourful, dramatic and sprinkled with humour. Ishaan Khattar plays the part well and Janhvi Kapoor looks like a dream. The movie does seem like a modern-day retelling of Romeo & Juliet, another Ram-Leela, maybe? Except the fact that Ishaan’s character slaps Janhvi and Romeo never did…

Karan Johar is all set to launch the newcomers with the tried and tested classic love story directed by Shashank Khaitan of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania fame. While the story might not have too many surprises to offer, the actors surely do, they get the accent somewhat on point and the chemistry is pretty obvious. 

Bollywood is going gaga over Dhadak already, Janhvi’s big brother, Arjun Kapoor went out of his way to show her support. 

What an adorable big brother! 

The film is set to release on 20 July 2018, let’s hope the movie has more to offer than the trailer.
