Twin For The Win: Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh *Stole The Show* At Nickyanka’s Reception!

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ grand reception saw a bevvy of Bollywood stars grace the occasion. And while everyone in attendance was dressed to the nines, there was a certain couple that held our collective attention.

The newlywed Deepveer came hand in hand at the Nickyanka reception, and as if that wasn’t enough, they also chose to flaunt a twinning look with their outfits. In black FYI. Take that, everyone who says black isn’t meant for weddings!

Wearing her favourite designer yet again for the celebratory occasion, Deepika Padukone looked downright stunning in an antique gold lehenga by Sabyasachi. The completely hand-embellished outfit had hints of salma, sitara and zardosi on the vintage-looking gold surface. Even from a distance, one could see the intricate craftsmanship and multiple hours that would have gone into making this outfit, which looked nothing short of a work of art. A black khadi blouse with the timeless appeal of full sleeves and a plunging neckline accompanied the gold outfit, as did an embellished organza dupatta.

Styled by Shaleena Nathani, the actress’s look included an ornate choker, elaborate studs, rings, and a stack of the traditional red and white wedding chooda. Her poker straight hair was kept slick and sans the updo that she was seen sporting earlier during her wedding festivities.

Coming to Ranveer Singh’s look, the actor kept his love for quirk at bay, and chose to wear a subtle number for the Nickyanka reception. His black sherwani came with an overlapping front that was secured with rust-coloured buttons and was teamed with straight-fit white trousers. And since you cannot expect Ranveer Singh to well, stop being Ranveer Singh, the actor accessorised his look with tiny tinted sunglasses. 

This is not the first time we have seen Bollywood’s IT-couple twinning in terms of style. From their wedding and reception looks to their many outings, Deepveer have been winning at the twinning game for quite some time now.
