Deepika Padukone likes to keep her calm. Even when her name is dragged through massive drama and controversy. That’s exactly what the actor did when some political groups were up in arms about her saffron bikini in Beshraam Rang.
Deepika has now opened up about how she dealt with the hate she received. In an interview, the actress said, “I can say this for both of us (her and Shah Rukh Khan), we don’t know any other way of being. I think that’s just who we are as people and the way we have been brought up by our respective families.”
Deepika also added she came to Mumbai with a lot of dreams and all she knows is how to work hard with commitment. Honestly, I am in awe of the actress’ patience and tolerance!
Looking Back At Pathaan’s Controversary
It all started when Besharam Rang dropping online. Many criticised Deepika’s saffron bikini and sensual moves. The title of the song, which roughly translates to ‘shameless colour’, became a sore point for trolls. They claimed that the song hurt religious sentiments. That’s not all, people were also offended by Deepika being “groped” by Shah Rukh Khan. Guts!
While they tried to spread hate, Pathaan’s success was a slap in the face of the trolls. Nothing speaks louder than cash registers, right DP?
Kudos to Deepika for handling the situation with grace. I bet DP’s mantra in life is to work hard in silence, and let success make the noise!
