Here’s How Deepika Padukone Has Perfect-Looking Brows All The Time

Today I woke up to a bunch of videos from Koffee With Karan, teasing a new season of the show with clips of Deepika and Ranveer’s interview. Dressed in stunning back outfits, the couple had a captivating charm on screen as they talked about their marriage and all the good things that come with it.

Watching them chat about the sweet life they’ve built together was great, but can we talk about Deepika’s brows for a hot second? Every arch adds that extra oomph to her look and as I did my research, guess what I found? She does them herself!

In a feature by Harper’s Bazaar, Sandhya Shekar, Deepika’s makeup artist, shed some light on a fun fact – Deepika loves doing her own brows. Shekar shared, “She’s excellent at doing her own brows. It’s been 2 and a half years and I’ve never done her eyebrows, ever. That’s because I trust her (and) the way she does it, so she does her own brows….for everyone out there who doesn’t know.”

So what is she doing that keeps them looking so fleek?

Deepika’s Expert Brow-Care Routine

Now we know it takes a village to get a celebrity glammed up. Despite Shekar’s claims, a little birdie told me that Deepika’s brows have been micro-bladed and after a little more digging, I found her eyebrow artist – Suman Jalaf. The founder of BrowsBySuman, she’s a household name in the industry and has worked with a ton of celebs like Kate Moss and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja.

So, what’s the secret sauce Deepika picks up from Jalaf’s treasure trove of brow wisdom?

First things first, when it comes to shaping your brows, use a pencil/powder and follow the natural shape of your brows. But extend the line a little for a fuller, more bushy look. A great pencil to use is the Tom Ford Brow Sculptor.

Make sure your inner brow lines up with the inner corner of your eye and the arch is three-fourths of the way across your eye. For the tail end, Jalaf recommends just following the natural direction of your brows.

A pro tip is to use mascara the same shade as your eyebrows to give it a fuller texture. The HourGlass Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel is one of the best. Suman’s trick is to always start from the inner brows towards the ends. Brush upward and outward, lightly following the direction of your natural hair. Brush a spoolie through your brows to blend any harsh lines after the eyebrow pencil/mascara.

If in case your brows start looking too dark, a great trick is to use a little bit of face powder to diffuse the colour. Go in with a spoolie and erase away!

You can also further define the shape of your brows with a brow gel or wax. If you want to keep it minimal, just fill in the areas that are sparse and where the skin shows.

Deepika’s brow game is a blend of personal touch and professional expertise that goes into creating the flawless looks we admire on screen. And I’m taking notes!
