Deepika Just Revealed Her Pre-Makeup Skincare Routine & We Can’t Keep Calm!

I’ve seen Deepika Padukone at multiple red carpet events and let me confirm that her skin looks amazing. In fact, amazing is an understatement because I’ve never seen base makeup look so luxurious IRL. It’s got to be good skin prep that makes Deepika’s base makeup look so stunning and to my luck she actually revealed her pre-makeup skincare routine.

You’ll also be surprised to know that Deepika’s skin prep isn’t all that complex either. It’s a simple routine with an inexpensive hack that works like magic for her and you can try it out too.

How Does Deepika Padukone Prep Her Skin Before Makeup?

Deepika posted a selfie flaunting her everyday makeup look and she mentioned her entire skin prep routine in the caption. Deepika wrote, “Here’s how I prepped my skin..’’ as she explained that she first washes her face with cold water and then ices it for a quick pick me up. After that she pats her skin dry and applies a moisturiser and sunscreen.

Deepika also mentioned that she used the 82°E Ashwagandha Bounce Rejuvenating Moisturiser and the 82°E Patchouli Glow Sunscreen Drops and wrote “PS: Both of these products work beautifully under makeup!”

How To Follow Deepika Padukone’s Pre-Makeup Skincare Routine

Step 1: Begin by washing your face with a gentle cleanser and use cold water. The MyGlamm SUPERFOODS Watermelon & Raspberry Face Wash is a great face wash for this step.

Step 2: Take an ice cube and glide it over your skin to tighten your pores and make your skin look more firm and smooth. Pat your skin dry after this with a soft face towel like the Mush Bamboo Face Towel- Ultra Soft.

Step 3: Apply a lightweight hydrating moisturiser on your skin. Since the weather is humid right now, a light gel-based moisturiser like the Moody 7D Hydro Burst Water Gel Moisturiser is ideal for your skin.

Step 4: Load up on SPF like Deepika. I have oily & acne prone skin so I don’t use an oil based sunscreen. I personally prefer using a sunscreen that also doubles as a makeup primer like the POPxo Glow Goals Illuminating Sunscreen SPF 30. It feels just like a silicone based primer and gives your skin a soft, blurred effect.

After following these skin prep steps, you can add a drop or two of any facial oil into your foundation and concealer and your base will look just as amazing as Deepika’s.
