Deepika & Ananya Share A Recipe In Common, But It’s Not For Cooking

Ananya Panday and Deepika Padukone didn’t just share the sets of Gehraiyaan back in 2022. There’s something else that ties them together in the most wholesome way possible. I’m talking about a recipe; not of a dish or drink. Something different.

Hint: It has everything to do with their glowy, radiant skin. Yup. I’m talking about a DIY face-pack that the two of them absolutely love.

The Recipe To Deepika & Ananya’s Glowing Skin?

Both actresses mix three ingredients together to create a quick, glow-inducing pack for the face. It typically contains:

Basic, right? But why do they depend on these ingredients, out of every other one out there, for their skin? I think I’ve figured it out.

Besan

Besan exfoliates the skin effectively. This doesn’t just make your face glow; it reduces tanning and hyperpigmentation and fades scars all at the same time by stripping your skin of dirt and build-up.

Another fact about besan is that it contains zinc which excels at fighting infections that trigger acne. It even controls the production of oil in the skin. But it’s suitable for dry skin types too. Mix it with something hydrating like malai for it to moisturise your skin from the inside out.

Curd

Curd contains Lactic Acid; a widely-known AHA, which exfoliates the skin gently; just like besan. This reveals newer, healthier cells underneath which not only brightens your skin, but also reduces the visibility of lines and wrinkles early on.

But that’s not it. It’s an expert at hydrating the skin and reinstating your face’s suppleness and elasticity. This is thanks to yoghurt’s composition of vitamin B that heals and hydrate the skin thoroughly.

Just like besan, yoghurt contains zinc, and you know what that does. But since it contains both antifungal and antibacterial properties, it controls the growth of acne-causing bacteria too; making it the finest treatment for the condition. Deepika uses the ‘malai’ part of yoghurt for her DIY.

Turmeric

A pinch of turmeric can do wonders for your skin. While a lot of haldi can yellow your skin quickly, a pea-sized portion of it can add to your skin’s glow.

This is because turmeric contains an anti-inflammatory agent called curcumin. This allows it to fight redness and inflammation as well as pigmentation and spots. It has antiseptic, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties that allow it to fight pimples and free-radical damage on the skin. Lesser breakouts. Lesser signs of ageing.

See? That’s how effective and foolproof their DIY is. I know I cannot try it out ASAP.
