Mehendi lage ke rakhna, doli saja ke rakhna! Ok, I’m totally in the mehendi feel right now since my cousin’s ceremony is scheduled in just about a month! We’ve finalized on a mehendi design and the ceremony playlist too is being taken care of. The only thing yet to be sealed are the giveaways for all the pretty ladies attending the do. So my cousin and I sat down for a good 2 hours to come up with exciting list of mehendi gifts for guest!
Mehendi Return Gift Ideas
Looking for some cutesy mehendi gift ideas? Here’s all that we have marked on our list because just like your function, your mehendi favours too need to be colourful and quirky. Take a look at these mehndi gift ideas!
Gota jewellery
It’s like the mehendi thing right now! From brides to guests to giveaways, gota has dominated the wedding scene and we are loving every bit of these pretty, little things. From gota rings to haathphools, earrings to bangles, the options are endless. You can request your local tailor to make you these or do check out Nino’s creations for some fabulous pieces.

Colourful potlis
Potlis are my weakness! I just love them. Embroidered potlis, potlis with mirror work, pop coloured, printed, there’s a whole lot out there. Potlis are easily available and you could score a good deal at a local wholesale market of your city. Check out Amazon for some great options! You could fill these up with goodies like chocolates or even just leave a cute ‘thank you’ note inside.

Henna cookies!
Kuch mitha ho jaye! A box of henna inspired cookies seems like just the perfect way to thank everyone who came to bless the bride on her mehendi ceremony. It’s pretty, it’s well thought of, it’s yummy and can be enjoyed by the entire family. Contact MADE@HOME for per kg prices. You can even check with other bakers for more variations.

Phulkari dupatta
I don’t know of a single woman who isn’t a fan of phulkari. A phulkari dupatta is like a wardrobe must-have and the ladies are going to love receiving these gorgeous colourful chunaris. Jalandhar is the best place to score authentic phulkari dupattas at wholesale price, however local shops in Chandni Chowk too have great options. If you do not have sources in any of these cities, consider online buying at Amazon.

Pretty latkans!
Or you may know them as tassels. Latkans for your blouse backs, to hang at the waist of your lehengas, latkans for suits with doris, to add onto clutches or even use them to jazz up a plain kurti. You can buy the prettiest latkans at great prices at any local market (I personally swear by Lajpat Nagar) and have tonnes of them kept in baskets for the ladies to pick up their favorites on their way back.

Kolhapuri chappals
I say this because I actually got one as a giveaway once! Footwear sizes could be a tricky thing to handle and so at my friend’s mehendi, they actually hired a local juttiwala to put up a stall at the venue. The guests could pick up kolhapuri chappals of their size and likes. Quite cool na?!

Beautiful jewellery boxes
Small boxes for little studs or the slightly bigger ones for necklaces and bangles, jewellery boxes come in all shapes and sizes. The ones with mirror work and beads or the hand-painted boxes are just very mehendi appropriate. Fill them up with a pair of earrings or leave it empty, either way your guests are going to love it.

Instant photos!
If the mehendi is an intimate gathering then instant photos are a great giveaway. You’ll need two people to capture each and every moment and person, and later gift those pictures in personalised paper frames or envelopes. You can buy an instant camera here.
Paint those nails
While everyone has a specific type and brand that they’d use on their skin, when it comes to nail polishes, the rules are slightly more relaxed. Yet another amazing option for your mehendi giveaways would be nail enamel kits. We love the Faces – Love Struck Collection! The packaging too is just perfect.
For the sweet tooth
Want to gift something sweet but not the regular mithai ka dabba? Try jakes or cake in a jar. They look super fancy and you can even personalise the jars with a little ‘Thank You’ note. Try Whipped Desserts for some amazing flavours.

Festive boxes
Vibrant and beautiful boxes are a great option too! They work as decorative pieces and are perfect to store little things. Fill them up with little goodies like candles or sweets or just leave in a note to thank your guests. You could even get these customized with the bride and groom initials. Try Moments By Riona for all your wedding favour needs.

Ethnic diaries
A lot of people are crazy about stationary. And a vintage or ethnic looking diary in vibrant colours and various prints makes for a thoughtful return gift for your mehendi. You could even couple these up with decorative pens. If you’re wondering where to find these, there’s a whole lot of variety on amazon for you to check out.
Stoles to steal the show
Leheriya or mirror work dupattas getting a little too regular as shaadi giveaways? Yup, we agree. So how about getting your girl gang and all the ladies pretty colourful stoles that’ll surely come in handy during the summers? We are loving the bright pom-pom stoles at Krafted With Happiness!
Gift a plant
Go eco friendly and gift your mehendi squad potted plants. One of the best mehendi gift for guests that’ll be with them for years to come. And no, it doesn’t have to be regular plants or the basic pots. You can totally go all out with this one too! Head to My Bageecha for the most interesting and innovative designs.

Oh my God! We absolutely love these! Puppet party bangles are the cutest, most adorable accessory that we’ve spotted in a while. And it’s so mehendi-appropriate! Your girls are going to love them. Krafted With Happiness is where you can find these.
So, these were some cute mehendi gifts for guests that you can give in return to leave a great impression.
