8 Citcus Perfumes That Smell Like Summer In A Bottle

I’m a big fan of fragrances, and always have been. I have been experimenting a lot once I realised how big the market for perfumes was, but my true love is citrusy perfumes. And throughout my research, I was truly surprised to discover that ‘citrus’ was just an umbrella term for many different types of scents.

Citrus scents can range from actual citrusy smells like orange and lemon to more nuanced scents like green tea, neroli, grapefruit, bergamot, and more. There’s an entire world to explore, and if you’re like me (always on the lookout for her next signature scents), I’m sure you’re going to love these!

Citrus Scents That Go Beyond Orange And Lemon

Let’s start with a few of my personal favourite scents have to be the Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Perfume – with top notes of orange zest and bergamot, this is a wonderfully refreshing scent that smells nothing like orange and instead will transport you to a gorgeous seaside or tea estate.

Next up, a more affordable version of the Elizabeth Arden is the Body Shop’s White Musk which has an earthy yet crisp scent. With notes of jasmine and musk, this scent may not have citrus in theory but smells super refreshing when on.

The L’Occitane Citrus Verbena Cooling Deodorant is another great option if you’re not really into perfumes but appreciate a good deodrant. With a base of organic verbena from Provence and a lively chorus of citrus fruits, this aluminum, alcohol, and paraben-free deodorant is a fresh stick that respects the natural skin balance.

A lot of citrus smells come from the top notes of tea. Yet another addition to our collection of tea perfumes is the Estee Lauder Tender Light Luxury Fragrance. With a distinctive fresh scent of an exclusively crafted Chinese Tea Accord, this fragrance is inclusive of Bergamot and warm, velvety Florentine Iris that adds a layer of luxury to the scent.

The St.Botanica Amalfi Citrus Eau De Perfum captures the essence of Italy’s sun-kissed Amalfi Coast. With top notes of the zesty Amalfi Lemon, this fragrance is a bottled Italian dream that awakenes your senses like a beautiful summer day by the beach.

The Secret Temptation Dream Eau De Parfum is another budget-friendly citrus scent that opens with a fresh bouquet of bergamot, lemon, and other fruits. The scent is more aqua than citrus and has a powdery finish which is a cultivated taste.

Inspired by the refreshing shade of lemon trees, Under The Lemon Trees By Maison Martin Margiela is a fragrance for both women and men. With top notes of lime and petitgrain followed by a heart of coriander and mate, it’s reminiscent of a leisurely afternoon spent under the light of a gorgeous grove.

If you don’t mind splurging on a few long-lasting scents, the Tom Ford Azure Lime is a great option to invest in. Capturing the scent aesthetic of the Eastern Caribbean, this elegant scent holds lime water infusion that settles into the warm embrace of sensual sandalwood.

Exploring the vast world of citrus fragrances reveals a spectrum of scents that extend far beyond the typical lemon and orange notes. As we dive deeper into the nuanced world of citrus perfumes, it’s clear that there’s more to these fresh scents than we’d expected.
