I have a lot of weddings to attend this season, so I really need my skin to look clear and radiant. While I was looking for celebrity skincare routines, I found that even they use home remedies to maintain healthy skin.
Now obviously, I had to know more about these DIYs because celebrity skincare on a budget is the best treat ever. Here are the best celeb-approved DIY beauty recipes I’m saving for this wedding season.
Deepika’s Haldi & Milk Face Pack
When we interviewed Deepika Padukone on the launch of her skincare brand 82°E, the star revealed that she uses home remedies regularly. One of them is a haldi and milk face pack. A pinch of haldi mixed with a tablespoon of milk cream is great for soothing skin and brightening it. It needs to be washed off after 20 minutes of application.
Turmeric is great for killing acne-causing bacteria and healing existing breakouts and since I have acne-prone skin, this DIY pack is a must for me.
PCJ’s Ubtan Body Scrub
Priyanka Chopra Jonas is a fan of homemade beauty recipes too and she has talked about them in multiple interviews. Her ubtan body scrub is the recipe I’m picking for a full-body glow. It’s a mix of a few tablespoons of yoghurt and some sandalwood powder. Add a few drops of lemon juice and a pinch of turmeric. Apply it and let it dry.
Once dry, washing it off with water using circular scrubbing motions will help reveal that natural glow. My tanned skin will fall in love with this DIY recipe.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Honey Cleanser
Bebo swears by a good honey face mask. The actress believes in keeping her routine simple. She has said in an interview that she likes to slather honey on her face and massage it for a few minutes after which she rinses it off.
This hack cleans and softens her skin and I am taking notes. I can literally add it to my routine right away.
Kiara Advani’s Besan & Milk Face Scrub
Kiara is the talk of the town right now and for good reasons! And, she has a glow-boosting home remedy up her sleeve too. She uses a besan and milk face scrub recipe, passed down by her mom, to exfoliate her skin.
Creating a paste of besan powder with a few drops of milk makes for a great face scrub that suits all skin types. I’ve made a besan face scrub by mixing it with water before, but milk might actually be gentler and more hydrating for my skin.
The Skincare Products I Use In My Daily Routine:
Aside from these amazing DIYs, I like to use trusted skincare products as part of my daily CTM routine. Here they are.
The Organic Harvest Organic Vitamin B Face Wash is a gentle cleanser that helps control excess oil production on my skin and soothes irritation too.
The MyGlamm GLOW Iridescent Brightening Toner keeps my pores in check and gives my skin that enviable glow.
To keep my skin radiant and hydrated, the St. Botanica Vitamin C, E & Hyaluronic Acid DePigmentation Cream is just perfect.
Each of these celeb-approved beauty DIYs is tried and tested by the best and I cannot wait to get glowin’ for this wedding season.
