#ManeMagic: This Festive Season Its All About Them Buns, Hun!

Beachy waves, sleek hair, braids, the festive season is rife with MAJOR hairstyle ideas and we are totally all for it. But woman to woman, seriously it is so HOT (at least where I live) and with the whole jewellery and outfit outroar this season, there are going to be some days when we just need to get that hair up. Here are my favourite bun hairstyles to get the hair off your face keeping with the festive theme!

1. Garland Low Bun

This one by is my go-to festive look hands down! This chic do is supremely easy and gives you a festive look within seconds. Part your hair down the middle or a deep side part. Take all your hair into a low ponytail first and then put it in a simple, twisted bun. Get a flower garland and just wrap it around the bun and secure with bobby pins. Use hairspray to tame flyaways.

Difficulty level: 1/5

Toolkit: Toni&Guy High Shine serum Drops: Serum Drops (Rs 520)

2. Sleek Bun

This one works beautifully on greasy second-day hair. Just pull all your hair in a bun which is about 3 inches from your nape. Make sure you take a light hairspray on a toothbrush and tame the flyaways so you can achieve this sleek look. Pin up the loose pieces that come undone when you are making your bun as well.

Toolkit: Gatsby Set & Keep Spray Extreme Hold Hair Styler (Rs 200); Elite Models ABC5104A Fashion Hair Bobby Pins (Rs 399)

3. Twisted Chignon

This one is a little complicated but it is definitely worth the time. Leaving your bangs in the front, take all of the hair to the back of your head. Divide the hair into 3 sections. Tie the middle section into a ponytail and then into a bun. Take the bottom section and wrap it around the bun. Use bobby pins to keep it in place. Take the top section in smaller strands, wrap it around the bun as well and pin in place section wise. Curl your bangs, tease the roots and pin them back. Spray a mild hairspray to keep everything in place.

Difficulty level: 4/5

Toolkit: Enliven Ultra Hold Hair Spray (Rs 299); Elite Models ABC5116A Fashion Bobby Pins (Rs 399)

4. Vintage Bouffant Low Bun

This is another simple one to get, but if you want some more volume it works best on curled hair. Curl your hair with a 1.5-inch curling wand and brush through the curls. Part your hair down the middle and tease your crown for added volume. Gather all the hair into a ponytail 3 inches above your nape. Neatly twist it around the scrunchie and secure the bun with pins. Add a few blooms or a gold hair charm for added glam.

5. Messy Top Knot

The most versatile one out of the lot, this one is a crowd favourite. Flip all your hair upside down and tie it in a ponytail at the top of your head. Flip right side up and take some wisps out to frame your face. Twist the hair around the rubber band and make a bun. This doesn’t have to be perfect, the messier the better. With this hairdo, you could add a headband, gold pins or even a cuff. The options are ENDLESS!

Difficulty level: 1/5

Toolkit: Toniq Black On Black Rubber Band Set (Rs 113); Toniq Hammer Coin Metallic Rubber Band (Rs 145)

6. Twisted Side Bun

One of those hairdos that looks more complicated than it actually is. Spray your hair with dry shampoo to add volume. Use a texturising spray at the roots. Do a deep side part on one side and take a 2-inch section right at the top from the bigger section. Divide this section into two and twist it away from your temple, adding more hair to every twist until you reach a little below your ear. Gather the rest of your hair into a messy side bun and secure with bobby pins.

Difficulty level: 2/5

Toolkit: Batiste Dry Shampoo Plus Instant Hair Refresh Divine Dark For Deep Dark Brown Hair (Rs 749); Toniq Rose Bucket Orange Rubber Band (Rs 289)

Do send me some pictures if you end up trying these looks for Diwali, I would LOVE to see them!
