Sign Do, Entry Lo! These Bridesmaids Created A Special Contract For Their Jiju & We’re Lovin’ It
If there’s one Bollywood song that every Indian bridesmaid knows by heart, it’s undoubtedly Joote Do Paise Lo from Hum Aapke Hai Kaun. Dulhan ki sisters and friends are supposed to steal their brother-in-law’s shoes and demand ransom during weddings. It is one of the most entertaining aspects of Indian shaadis and everyone enjoys this bit. Moreover, bridesmaids’ duties do not just end there. They also have to perform ‘dar-chhekai’, that is, stopping the groom from meeting his bride and asking for gifts. Usually, it’s cash and other perks, but with time, we have become more innovative. Case in point: real-life bride, Rashvi’s bridesmaids, who demanded the cutest thing from their jija ji. Take a look:
How cool is this? Here’s what we loved about the deal:
Forget His Shoes, Get His Sign Instead
Rashvi’s bridesmaids did not demand money or some major gift from the groom, Lakshyank. Instead, they created a contract and asked him to sign it before the varmala. The cutest part was the three clauses written on the board, as they showed how much they loved the bride.
The first condition was for Lakshyank to accept that his wife would always be right. Honestly, this would prove quite helpful to the couple during their future quarrels. The second clause stated that he and Rashvi would travel abroad at least twice or thrice a year. We can already imagine the lovebirds having a blast during their vacays. The last point was that the husband will buy his wife whatever she wants, whenever she wants. Hmm…now this sounds quite a pricey deal, but we are sure that it’s every bit worth it.
Just Cannot Get Over The Floral Vibes
Apart from the bridesmaids and their deal, what caught our attention was the floral decor and lavender theme of Rashvi and Lakshyank’s Mussorie wedding. Whistling Teel, their wedding planning firm, did an amazing job and decorated the whole mandap with beautiful flowers and chandeliers. The bride wore a gorgeous lehenga by Payal Keyal in pink with lavender accents. It was subtle as well as dazzling, turning out to be a perfect pick for a daytime shaadi. The groom wore a complementing sherwani in light pink by Telon Men, that gave him quite a royal appeal.
Everything about Rashvi and Lakshyank’s D-day was crafted to perfection, especially the three official terms that would defs make the couple’s married life happier.
