Gone are the days when red was considered to be the only colour for bridal wear. Brides these days are not shying away from dipping their toes into out-of-the-box colours and no, we’re not complaining. From wearing an all-white bridal lehenga to going for a unique colour combination, brides’ fixation on experimenting for their D-day is much welcome. They are all about making their own rules and we’re lovin’ it. Meet Harleen Deol, a bride who chose an unconventional lehenga for her wedding, and honestly, we cannot take our eyes off it.
Scrolling through Instagram feed, we found some pictures of Harleen flaunting a lehenga that looked nothing but magical. She wore a dove grey lehenga and paired it with a peach choli. Now that’s not a combination that we usually see on brides, do we? TBH, the bride looked stunning beyond words in this outfit by Plumtin Label. Check it out!
Isn’t that beautiful? The lehenga is glamorous and yet looked so subtle. The dual-tone multi-panelled ensemble is embellished with delicate zardozi-embroidered vertical floral motifs. We love how the embroidery is stylishly divided to give the lehenga a panelled effect.
Harleen paired the lehenga with a sheer organza jaal dupatta. The gota-patti work on the it made it light, easy to carry and fuss-free–an idea that reflected in the way she draped her dupatta too.
Gorgeous, right? Well, grey and gold are a match made in heaven, and we’re so glad this bride tried it for her D-day. Considering that it was a day wedding, we’re totally digging this combination as the cool grey balances all the warm tones of those peach accents in the choli and the dupatta.
Also, can we just take a moment to note how adorable the couple looked in colour-coordinated outfits? The dashing groom, Simm Baidwan wore an off-white sherwani and accessorised it with a peach stole, that perfectly matched Harleen’s attire.
Coming back to the bridal outfit, Harleen wore a high neck blouse and therefore, decided to ditch the neckpiece. She chose to wear traditional kundan earrings and a matching maangtikka, along with an OTT nath with a pearl string, and we must say, it made her look ethereal.
Harleen kept her red chura and her mehendi minimal, and went for a very subtle makeup look. After all, she wanted the lehenga to do all the talking! 😉
For her makeup, the bride went for a flawless look along with subtle smokey eyes and bold brows. Matching perfectly with her lehenga, she wore a peach pink lip shade that completed her not-so OTT bridal look.
Just like us, are you also loving her simple yet beautiful makeup? If you’re looking to do your own makeup on your D-day, here are some products that can come in handy if you wanna recreate Harleen’s look.
TBH, we’ve never seen any bride wearing this unique combination of colours with an ombre dupatta. But now that we’ve seen it, we cannot get over it. What about you?
