Pretty pastels, hints of neon and even white, modern day brides are making their own rules when it comes to their bridal lehengas and we are lovin’ it. But nothing quite beats the elegance and grandeur of a traditional wedding saree. You can’t go wrong with this nine-yard wonder. And bride Jatinder Kailey-Patel is proving exactly that. She ditched shaadi ka lehenga and opted for a beautiful red saree for her wedding day.
Jatinder, who is based out of London, tied the knot with Mitesh Patel in a big fat wedding in Udaipur, Rajasthan (in the pre-Covid era, of course). The couple had two ceremonies–a vedic wedding ceremony and Anand Karaj–and this gave Jatinder the opportunity to wear a saree and lehenga for her wedding.
For the vedic ceremony, the gorgeous bride chose to wear a beautiful red Sabyasachi saree. Jatinder paired it with a red blouse and looked like a quintessential desi dulhan.

Her makeup artist Monika Jurani gave her a flawless base along with bronze eye makeup. Fluttery lashes, tons of mascara, red bindi and bold red lips completed her look.
Meanwhile, the groom looked dapper in an off-white Sabyasachi sherwani that he accessorised with an embroidered stole.
