Bigg Boss 16: When Will Sumbul Touqeer Learn From Her Mistakes?

Bigg Boss 16’s recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode proved to be an emotional roller coaster. In an unexpected twist, we saw Sumbul Touqeer’s father on the stage with Salman Khan. We were told that Mr Touqeer Hasan Khan had been invited to the show to clear some confusion and handle a “delicate” situation that his daughter had landed herself in. Sumbul’s dad cut to the chase without wasting any time and decided to take Shalin Bhanot and Tina Datta’s case. He called them out for betraying his daughter, misguiding her, and making a “tamasha” out of Sumbul. He scolded Shalin for misleading the 18-year-old when he should have treated her like a “behen or beti“. He also accused Tina of weaving false tales around how the Imlie actress had a crush on Shalin. TBH, most of it was true.

Shalin and Tina had actually been mistreating Sumbul and we were expecting that Salman Khan would raise it in the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. However, watching Mr Touqeer doing the needful was something unexpected. We were all left in tears as he urged his daughter to be brave and distance herself from these fake friends. At that moment, we could all feel his pain and were pretty sure Sumbul was feeling it too. It looked like she would never talk to Shalin and Tina again. But guess what? In the next episode, we saw Sumbul holding their hands, CONSOLING THEM, and even APOLOGISING!

Yes, none of this makes sense and netizens have been left equally confused. We also saw Sumbul having a heart-to-heart with Shalin where he told her that he always treated her like a kid ‘coz he too has a son. Yes, all this after days of teaching Sumbul how not to act like a kid and he even got away with that.

Last night, we saw the Imlie actress maintaining some distance from Tina but she is still hanging out with Shalin and expecting explanations from him. This is after a lot of housemates have warned her against him. She listens to them, goes back to Shalin, he comes up with a random explanation, and Sumbul becomes all cordial with him again. From where we see it, the situation looks like an infinite hell loop and we are worried it will lead to Sumbul’s exit from the show. This is disappointing given we were betting big on the actress and thought she’d make it to the top two. Our only hope—Sumbul starts learning from her mistakes. But will she?
