We’re still trying to figure out how we feel about Bigg Boss 16 contestant, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia. Sometimes we love that she voices her opinion. Other times, her nit-picky attitude gets on our nerves. While we’re still trying to make up our minds, looks like netizens have already made up theirs.
The Choti Sarrdaarni actress got under the netizens’ radar after the recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode. Nimrit was trolled for not knowing the legal term—’open and shut case’. This happened when she along with other BB contestants was schooled by Salman Khan for jumping on the whole Archana Gautam and Shiv Thakare matter. Salman further added that it was an open-and-shut case of provocation where Shiv provoked Archana and this led to a physical altercation.
So when Nimrit was asked by Salman what the term meant, the actress who is also a lawyer by profession didn’t have an answer. This moment led to several netizens questioning her law degree as well as her intelligence. Here, take a look at some of the responses:
While we’re surprised that Nimrit didn’t know what the term meant, we def don’t think online trolling is warranted. In a tense moment, we’re all likely to have a brain freeze and forget certain things. And we’re sure the same happened with Nimrit when Salman asked her about the term out of the blue.
So honestly, Nimrit forgetting a law phrase is not a big deal especially when she isn’t even a practising lawyer. Can the trolls please take a chill pill?
