Bigg Boss 16: Can Shalin Bhanot Start Acting Like An Adult?

Every season of Bigg Boss has one contestant who is unlikable but cannot be ignored. In Bigg Boss 16, we have Shalin Bhanot from the category. Since the beginning of the season, Shalin has tried to overpower the house. His unnecessary aggression, toxic equations, fake love angles, and childish behaviour make him one of the most infamous BB 16 contestants. But now we’re eagerly waiting for this man-child to finally act like a 38-year-old. 

Does Shalin Actually Have Feelings For Tina? 

Shalin and Tina Datta have been friends since the beginning of the season. This bond appears to have evolved into something romantic in the last few weeks. But, TBH, Shalin’s childish games make us wonder if his emotions are genuine. During a task in the most recent episode Shalin told Tina that he wants to propose to her. While the Uttaran actress hasn’t really admitted anything, her flushed cheeks give her away. 

But Shalin never fails to disappoint. He completely ignored Tina in the next task after claiming he wanted to propose to her. The girls in the house were supposed to feed chocolates to the boys, and the girl who fed the most chocolates would win a hamper.  Shalin did not eat Tina’s chocolate because she did not try to “convince” him. Well, Shalin, it’s high time you step down from your pedestal, especially for people you claim to love.

He was even seen telling Archana at the end of the episode that he doesn’t love Tina and pyaar toh bohot durr ki baat hai. We’re left wondering why he wanted to propose to someone he didn’t love. Shalin, come on, the audience can see right through you!

His Toxic Friendship With Sumbul 

Shalin also has the most toxic friendship with Sumbul Touqeer, an 18-year-old. Instead of being a mentor to Sumbul, the house’s youngest member, Shalin continues to play with her feelings. He was even adamant about nominating Sumbul in the most recent nominations task. Forget about a romantic relationship; this nearly 40-year-old man can’t even keep a friend.

Judgemental Uncle 

Following a squabble between Nimrit Kaur and Gautam Vig, the Choti Sardarni actress was hanging out with the “other group” aka the non-actors. Shalin was quick to judge her and even stated that the group is attempting to replace Gori Nagori with Nimrit because they already know that the Haryanvi dancer will get evicted. He even justified chilling with the same people in the past, claiming that he had no choice but to do so, whereas Nimrit is doing so voluntarily. Can someone please tell this man that a person can have more than one group of friends?
