The 76th Annual Cannes Film Festival is here and you’re in for a treat because a bunch of new faces from Bollywood are making their debut at the 2-week-long event this year.
And of course, they are pulling all the stops to make a glamm statement on the Cannes red carpet. I’m obsessing over their stunning makeup that elevated their already OTT ensembles. Here are all the details.
Diana Penty
Exuding glamm, the regular at the Cannes Film Festival made quite a statement in a shimmery black fringe dress with makeup to match. Her eyes were highlighted with winged-out black liner and heavy kohl under her eyes. Flushed cheeks, nude glossy lips and her hair styled into a low spiky bun, rounded off Diana’s look well.
Mouni Roy
Giving off ice princess vibes and making her debut at Cannes, the Brahmastra star’s makeup was as subtle as it could get. Hair pulled back into a messy chignon bun, sharp brows, and smoked-out eyes were all she needed to highlight her features. Glazed, almost flawless skin was the selling point of Roy’s red carpet look at the event!
Sara Ali Khan
The Gaslight actress made her debut at Cannes in a gorgeous white lehenga (that she got trolled for). But it is her makeup that I’m swooning over. She opted for a terracotta-coral eyeshadow with the softest eyeliner. Her bronze glazed skin with peachy cheeks complemented her outfit well.
The Lakme Absolute Explore Liquid Eye Shadow – Earthy Matte & Shimmering Sunset is perfect to recreate the look.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan colour coordinated her makeup to her outfit and then added a dramatic red lipstick to make a statement. Her eye makeup mimics the colours of her ensemble as she wore silver eyeshadow on her lids with black winged eyeliner.
Her statement red lip has me obsessed. The M.A.C Retro Matte Lipstick – Ruby Woo delivers the same results.
Manushi Chillar
Former Miss World and Samrat actress also graced the Cannes Film Festival for the very first time and she looked like an ethereal in a white gown and barely-there makeup. The star’s minimalistic makeup look was high on glow with her hair styled into Gatsby-style waves that didn’t steal the limelight from her outfit.
Esha Gupta
Esha Gupta was a vision in white. Her brown winged eyeliner and brown nude lip with dewy skin was an excellent combination for the red carpet. She also played it safe by styling her hair in a chic bun with wispy layers left loose to frame her face.
The POPxo Makeup Collection Liquid Eyeliner Kit – Eye Gotchu is perfect to create the small cat eye flicks like the actress.
Urvashi Rautela
Her crocodile necklace may have been the talk of the town but my eyes were on Rautela’s hair. A classic fluffy top-knot that didn’t cover up her face brought elegance to her look. Urvashi sported the monochrome makeup trend on the red carpet by sporting pink makeup in the form of cheeks doused in blush, shimmery pink eyeshadow and a glossy pout.
The La Mior Only For You Adaptive Lip Tint – Grape Sorbet (Purple to Cherry) is the perfect pick for lips like hers.
I can’t wait to see who else from Bollywood arrives at Cannes and slays the beauty game.
