7 Beauty & Wellness Lessons We’ve Picked Up From Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt is arguably one of the most talented actors we have in the country right now. From her endearing role as Veera in Highway to her valiant yet sensitive portrayal of Sehmat in Raazi, this star has a dazzling presence on screen. However, it’s not just because of the characters she plays that we love her so much, it’s also because of how relatable she is on social media. She’s done cooking challenges on her YouTube channel, played games with her sister, and posted candid pictures of herself sunbathing. All in all, she’s real, she’s adorable and we love her!

To celebrate her 28th birthday, we took a deep dive into her social media and found some amazing beauty and wellness tips for you guys. So, start taking notes!

7 Beauty And Wellness Lessons We’ve Learned From The Birthday Girl, Alia Bhatt

Sheet Masks Are A Godsend

Sheet masks are a staple in the Korean skincare routine and for good reason. Alia just shows us that the amount of hydration your skin gets from one is amazing. They’re enriched with radiance-boosting and glow-enhancing properties that give your skin the luminosity it deserves.

Mascara Makes All The Difference

If you’re going for a no-makeup makeup look, three products are going to be your BFFs- tinted lip balm, mascara, and brow powder. Just like Alia, don’t scrimp on your mascara cause fluttery lashes really elevate the makeup look. Coat your lashes with lots of mascara, make sure you wiggle the wand in a zig-zag motion to coat every lash and voila, you’ve got the flirtiest eyes in town!

Drink Your Way To Healthy Skin

Juices and fruits are really good for the skin. Here, Alia Bhatt is drinking beetroot juice which is high in Vitamin C and is known to prevent early signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles. It’s also rich in antioxidants and improves collagen production in the skin. So, instead of only focussing on topically applying products, look at a switch in your diet too to get healthy skin.

A Nude Lip Is Timeless

The Student Of The Year actor usually sticks to natural, dewy makeup and it looks gorgeous on her. She does experiment with the odd pink and red lipsticks but mostly sticks to a pinkish nude colour. With her flushed skin, it really suits her. It’s timeless and works for every occasion and event so we give this a double thumbs up.

Golden Hour Selfies Hit Differently

Kylie Jenner taught us and clearly, Alia is following suit- the golden hour is selfie hour. The lighting isn’t harsh and jarring and the picture quality is maintained. Your skin looks lovely and glowing and your makeup shows up well. For those of you who don’t know- it is the first hour after sunrise and the last hour of light before sunset because it produces a warm natural light.

Don’t Skip The Body Highlighter

Now that summer is just around the corner, we’ll all be wearing bum shorts and sleeveless tops, Alia Bhatt reminds us that your body deserves as much highlighter as your face does. You can either mix a liquid highlighter into your daily body lotion and use it or just apply a few drops to your decolletage and shoulders for that bronzed goddess look.

Cleansed Skin Is Everything

Cleansing your skin is probably the most important step in your beauty routine and you should do it twice a day. Pollutants, dirt, and grime get collected deep within the pores resulting in congested skin so cleansing and exfoliating is essential. So, just like Alia, make this a part of your daily routine too.

Which of these Alia Bhatt-approved beauty and wellness lessons are you incorporating in your routine?
