An arranged marriage setting led to an endless conversation, and the rest, as they say, is history! Richa and Khushal’s beach wedding in Goa was as beautiful as their first hour long conversation, complete with fun, excitement and candid moments. From their pre wedding shoot on the beach to their traditional pheras that gave us all the feels, you’ve got to see the pretty pictures shot by Shutterdown Photography.
Jab They Met…
Richa and Khushal met through an arranged marriage setting. It was all done quite traditionally, Richa’s parents met Khushal first and instantly liked him. The next day, Richa met him for a casual chat and realized that they had a lot in common. After an hour long conversation and hushed smiles, the two finally said YES to each other. The wedding festivities were hosted at the Holiday Inn Resort, Goa on the 1st of February, 2017.
The Beachside Shoot
A Goa wedding is incomplete without a couple shoot by the beach. And the bride & bestie shots are hard to miss! Love the ‘Richa Ki Toli’ T-shirts. So fun!
The Shaadi
Apart from all the glitz and glamour that surrounded the big day, it was the bride’s lehenga that caught our fancy. Richa wore a beautiful red custom made Naina Jain lehenga for the special day. “I was really confused as to what I wanted to wear for my wedding. I wanted something traditional yet modern, sober yet blingy. I couldn’t think of exactly what I wanted! I checked out a couple of stores in Delhi before heading to Kolkata for my trousseau shopping. It was there that my sister who took me to Naina Jain and I instantly fell in love with her work. Since her forte was not really wedding lehengas, we brainstormed for a couple of hours before coming up with this design. I was awestruck the moment I saw the final piece. It was just like I had imagined,” shares the bride.
Looking for a similar red bridal lehenga? This gorgeous lehenga with zardozi embroidery is available at Kalki for Rs 20,340.
Not just her lehenga, we are swooning over Richa’s gorgeous matte makeup which was done by Delhi based makeup artist Rehat Brar. We mean, what’s there not to love about matte red lips and smokey eyes… Timeless!
“Rehat even helped me pick my bridal jewellery. I really wanted to wear a maathapatti as I always felt it looks very bridal and beautiful. But the various designs available in the market can really leave you confused. Rehat sent me pictures based on designs that’ll suit the shape of my face and I finally found the perfect one at Lucky Jewels, Bikaner,” shares Richa.
And they closed in on all the festivities in style, with lots of joyful moments and a kiss!
We wish the couple lots of love and happiness!
