It seems like we millennials love to wallow in self-pity and constantly live with a low sense of self. It’s almost as if it’s fashionable to hate yourself. But the thing about life and love is that you show the world how to love you by the way you love yourself. So, all of us, together need to start a movement of self-love. We need to show everyone what we mean to our own selves. The first step to that is making yourself the best version of you and be a better person and the next is to love yourself despite what the world tells you.
Love Who You Are
The first step towards becoming a better you is accepting who you currently are. You are the sum of all your positives, flaws, experiences and opinions. So it is absolutely necessary that you love that sum total. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to judge what are the flaws you that are holding you back from being who you want to be.
Focus On The Positives
This is one of the basic rules of life – focus on the positive. This rule applies to self-love as well. Talk about your positives more than the negatives. Focus on strengthening what you already are good at instead of concentrating on your weaknesses. No person is perfect so aiming for that isn’t going to help. But being great at a few things is definitely possible!
Share Your Goals
Talk more about what you want to achieve and why it means so much to you. That is a foolproof way of motivating yourself. Every time you talk about it, you’ll be reminded of what you need to achieve to be where you want to be. If that doesn’t get you going, nothing else will!
Quality Of Life Always Comes First
Remember that the quality of your life should be your first priority. Do what makes you happy and at peace rather than doing what you are ‘supposed’ to do. Like I said, there is nothing that you’re supposed to do except the things you want to!
So start a revolution, ladies, work to love yourselves!
