Ah, yes, remember all the buzz created by Ranveer Singh when he posed naked for a popular magazine? The iconic photoshoot caused quite a stir and broke the internet, leading the actor to face some legal troubles as well. But guess what? Before Ranveer, there have been other stars who fearlessly dared to bare and one of them happened to be Bigg Boss OTT 2 contestant Pooja Bhatt.
Back in the day, The Zakhm actress was anything but a quintessential heroine. She was daring and never shied away from being herself. And her quest to do something different is reflected in a bold and unconventional photo shoot. In the 90s, Pooja posed for a leading magazine wearing nothing but body paint. The paint was in the form of a three-piece formal suit along with a white shirt and a red tie design. And it also featured buttons glued to her body. A literal birthday suit, Am I right?
Reportedly, Pooja was approached by the editor of the magazine to do a photoshoot inspired by Demi Moore’s painted look for the cover of Vanity Fair. She was then painstakingly painted for six hours with non-allergic paint by fashion designer Anna Singh. Furthermore, the magazine was slated to coincide with Pooja’s 21st birthday. So when the groundbreaking magazine cover went live, it caused a controversy that most of them anticipated. It is to date referred to as one of the most controversial magazine covers. Interestingly, Pooja wore a set of undergarments below the painted suit.
Honestly, we are in awe of the creativity behind the shoot. Kudos to Pooja for giving us such an iconic cover.
