I’m In Love With These Décor Details From Athiya Shetty & KL Rahul Wedding Functions
Athiya Shetty-KL Rahul tied the knot on January 23, 2023 and the internet is still buzzing with their gorgeous wedding pictures. TBH, I am floored with the actress’ outfit choices for all her shaadi festivities. A breathtaking Anamika Khanna lehenga on the D-day, Kanchivaram saree for her muhurtham ceremony, and a hand-embroidered Ritu Kumar anarkali for haldi—the actress looked like a million bucks on all her functions. I wasn’t even done crushing over her looks when I came across the décor pics from the three-day festivities.
Suneil Shetty’s Khandala farmhouse was transformed into a dreamy floral garden and the pictures swept me off my feet. Rani Pink, a brand that’s known for its bespoke wedding services, was roped in to do the décor. They recently shared all the details from the shaadi and here’s what I am loving:
Flower Power All The Way
Athiya and Rahul had at least one colour flower theme for each of their functions. For the muhuratham (a ceremony that marks the beginning of the wedding, the farmhouse was decked up with jasmine and mogra flowers. Imagine entering a wedding venue that not only looks pristine but also smells divine! To match the flowers, rest of the details like the seating, brocade cusions were given a mint green touch and I have to say that the combination looked oh-so-stunning. The setup was indeed a minimalist’s dream come true!
A Marigold Garden For Haldi
Athiya’s haldi ceremony was all things bright and yellow. Each corner of the venue was decorated with floor-to-ceiling genda phool strings. I love how the marigold strings are complementing the mood of the function. The venue that was already so green also made for a flattering contrast against the yellow of the genda phool.
Pretty In Pastels
There’s something about pastel décor that instantly evokes the feeling of love. Athiya and Rahul took the pheras in a dreamy setup. The mandap was done up in pastel colours and I love how the muted tones didn’t compete with the bride and groom’s outfits. I have to say that the Khandala hills served as the perfect backdrop for their wedding pictures.
Mehendi Hai Rachne Wali!
Blloming bougainvillas were the highlight of Athiya and Rahul’s mehendi décor. Founder Anika Dhawan, Rani Pink, revealed in her Instagram caption that the palm tree motifs on curtains and cushions were hand painted by Athiya and Dhawan herself. I love how hot pink, coral and white flowers are adding a pop of colour and making every corner look vibrant.
A different storyline for each day conveyed by floral themes! I don’t think an intimate-wedding décor can get any better than this. I loved it to the T and can’t wait for the couple’s June-reception looks for more inspo.
